Chapter 4 04: The beginning of Might's

''Give everyone here, whatever they want. Let them purchase any material they wished for. Write the prices in my name, I will transfer funds to you guys, when they are done 'Caleb instructed the super-markets management.

Every patroniser who was there began to leap for joy. They thanked him generally, and were even taking pictures of him, and everything they were taken, so that they would post and promote about his generosity, and what transpired between him and James today.

After all issues were finally settled in the supermarket, Caleb and his suited men who were all under the command of Anthony, quickly rushed back to the hotel, where, once again, they refreshed up. Caleb dressed properly according to the dictates of Anthony, who wanted him to look pleasing before his father.

Two hours later, they entered their various rides, and finally departed to London main city, where they were expected to take Caleb to his father's mansion.

From a distance while still in the jeep, Caleb once again for the first time in four years, saw the golden gate and colorful fence, which guides the powerful edifice of his father. The building is one of the greatest architectural designs of modern day British engineers, and also a pioneer of medieval British architectural work. It's a building meant for royals, as it was full of expensive imported Chinese glasses.

''Welcome, Young master, 'Steven, his father's chief security officer, said to him.

''You're welcome back, Mr. Caleb. We are very happy to see here once again.His late mother's chief maid ''Mrs. Sandra, greeted him with teary eyes, and a smile on her face.

''Thank you all. I really appreciate everyone 'Caleb responded, as he bowed down to honor their compliments.

The rest servants who were also out waiting for him, all bowed to greet and welcome him. He waved at them, and threw kisses at them.

He was given a royal welcome.

The door leading to the mansion was opened to him by Steven. He entered inside and the first person he could see sitting on a wheelchair in the parlor, is father ''George''.

''Welcome back home, my son'' Mr. George's voice echoed, as he spoke to his son backward.

''Oh dad, thanks'' Caleb responded. He now began to move closer to him, but suddenly stopped at his back, when he saw through the mirror facing his dad, that he was getting blind by the day, and couldn't even work.

He saw how fragile his father was. Looked very weak and helpless. Caleb on the spot felt a strong sense of pity for him.

''I'm very sorry for what happened between us four years ago. Honestly, I don't really know what came over me. I know that I was controlled by my ugly emotions on that fateful day 'His father pleaded.

''It's alright father. It's a thing of the past now. Let's just forget about it, and move on with life. After all, I should be the one who should be pleading, for shouting at you on that day 'Caleb informed.

''The mysteries surrounding your mother's death, is something that has been giving me sleepless nights and pains. I don't even feel like remembering it again because it makes me look like a fool and a failure, that I couldn't protect my wife and entire family'' Mr. George said in pain. He was very calm and moody.

''Like I said, let's forget about that, and focus now, on the next thing to do. I know that life has not been friendly with our family but then, we don't need to relent. Please, don't say anything about mother's death for now'' Caleb responded. He was also feeling pains deep down in his body, over the mysteries surrounding his mother's death. He prefers to handle it on his own terms.

''Come and pour a bottle of desperado wine for yourself in a glass cup my dear'' His father instructed, of which he did.

He finally sat down close to the chair in front of his father's front, and they began to talk extensively.

''How's your business going dad?'' Caleb gently asked.

Mr. George coughed. He coughed out thick and bloody saliva. Caleb again, felt very pity for him.

''Ever since you left, the business has not been going cool. We have been experiencing several thefts and looting cases from our workers and even from those whom we don't yet know''

''And what about the empire's executives? Is there nothing they are doing about it? Caleb asked.

''Theirs is the worst. I think they are the major problem we are having in the empire. Nothing great is working again, in our empire, as both staff and workers are doing whatever they please. My business that I have invested my blood in is falling apart. In fact, as I'm talking to you, the senior workers of the empire are about to Take away the business from me. They have sued me to the law court, and put many blames and offenses on me, claiming that I committed them.

They are currently demanding from me, the sum of $500million, as damages. They are now in charge of the workers but meanwhile, I want you to hurriedly go to the empire tomorrow, and change every document. I have already willed the empire to you, and I am entrusting you, to restore back the lost glory of my business. As you can see, iam incapacitated. I don't even know how on Earth I acquired this strange sickness'' His father highlighted.

''Consider it done, father. I shall try my best'' Caleb responded, on a sad looking face.

He looked at his father's health condition, and then he knew that it wasn't an ordinary sickness. He knew that it was possibly sent by his father's enemies, since it appeared to be a biochemical attack.

The next morning, Caleb woke up early, as he started preparing himself for the day's job. He looked into some official documents that were already kept by his father in his room, even before his arrival.

After this, at exactly 8:30pm, he was driven into the empire, by one of the body-guards, in a ''BMW jeep''.

The moment he stepped his foot out of the jeep, he yelled.

''What the hell!

He sighted James, Cynthia's fiancé.
