Chapter 6 Reece!

"Mr. Blackmore, ma'am. You need to follow us to come choose your wedding dress." One of the men said.

Beverly's eyes widened in shock, her mind reeling with questions. Wedding dress? Reece Blackmore?

Wait, was that man crazy or what?

Beverly just couldn't believe that man. Why was he in such a rush?

It was just yesterday.....just yesterday that she accepted to marry him, and today he was already talking about Wedding dress?

Shit!

Beverly was still lost in her world, trying to understand what was happening, when her phone buzzed in her hand.

Slowly, she raised the phone and checked the message, which caused her to widen her eyes again, brows curved in bewilder.

'Don't be stubborn, or else I will come take you to the bridal stores myself. I hate people who are stubborn and disobey me. I punish them and that includes Beverly Bloomfield

The message read, and Beverly didn't need anyone to tell her who sent the message

It was Reece!

"Wait! Is he watching me from where he is? How the hell did he get my contact!?" Beverly's eyes widened again in big shocks, heart pounding hard in her chest as she asked herself those questions inwardly.

What the hell was wrong with this man? Was all this because she owed him or because of something else?

They aren't even 'married' yet and he was already controlling her that much?

"Your wedding dress, ma'am" A lady, who followed the guards there said, snapping Beverly out of her thoughts.

The men's faces were expressionless, offering no answers. They simply gestured to the cars, waiting for her to comply.

Beverly's heart raced as she hesitated, her mind torn between curiosity and fear. What had she just gotten herself into?

Sighing, she pushed aside her reservations and everything and followed them to the car, her heart heavy with the weight of her impending wedding to Reece Blackmore.

As she settled into the luxurious car they looked like she was in some kind of paradise, she couldn't help but wonder what other surprises lay in store for her.

[ RIVERVIEW ACADEMY ]

Alex walked into the school hallway, heading to the school field, his eyes scanning the crowds for a familiar face.

He spotted Samantha by her locker, her bright smile and sparkling eyes a beacon of hope. He took a deep breath, mustering up the courage to approach her.

"Hey, Samantha" Alex said, his voice softer than usual. "Can I talk to you for a minute?" He asked

"Sure, Alex. What's up?" Samantha asked, looking up, her expression curious.

Alex hesitated, and took a deep breath before speaking.

"I'm really sorry for snapping at you the other day. That was uncalled for" He said, his voice low.

"Apology accepted, Alex. I get it, you were upset. So...." Samantha smiled kindly.

"So.....are we good?" Alex dragged the word, moving his hands in a questioning manner.

"We're good, Alex. Besides, I wasn't mad at you," Samantha confessed, and he smiled with a nod, totally relieved.

"Thanks, Samantha." He said, feeling a weight lift off his shoulders.

"Anytime, Alex. Take care!" Samantha chuckled, stared at Alex for seconds before leaving.

Alex started heading to the field where he was actually going to, but he had barely taken three steps, when Blain and his gang walked up to him, circling him.

"Hey, scholarship kid" Blain sneered, a mocking glint in his eye. "I heard your sister is getting married to the popularly known man, Reece Blackmore, the rich and ruthless billionaire" He emphasized the last part, his voice dripping with disdain.

"Wow, you're really moving up in the world, aren't you?" He began to mock Alex.

Alex's eyes narrowed, his fists clenched at his sides.

"What's your point, Blain? What do you want?" He growled, his patience wearing thin.

"Just wondering how it feels to be related to someone who's actually worth something. You know, someone who's not a total loser like you" Blain snickered.

Alex's face flushed with anger, but he kept his cool, refusing to give Blain the satisfaction of getting under his skin.

"At least my sister doesn't have to resort to bullying and intimidation to get attention" Alex shot back, his voice steady. "She's got class and grace, something you'll never have, Blain" Alex said and Blain sneered, his face reddening with anger.

"Well, I know and everyone knows that your sister is marrying him for his money, isn't it so? I mean, let's be real, Alex. Your family is nothing without Reece Blackmore's cash....."

"Stop saying what you know nothing of, you foôl!" Alex barked in anger.

"Ha! but I am saying the truth, your sister is a gold-digger, Alex. She's just using him for his wealth and status....."

"Shut up, Blain! You don't know anything about my sister or her relationship." Alex's temper snapped. He took a step forward, his face inches away from Blaine's.

"Oh, I know plenty. And I'll keep saying it, until you shut me up." Blaine didn't back down anyway, his eyes gleaming with provocation.

Anyway, before he could say another thing, Alex gave him a hard punch on the face, making him to stagger.

Blaine held himself together, and punched Alex too. They both began to bleed from their noses.

The fight was short-lived, but intense. Teachers rushed over to break it up, pulling Alex and Blaine apart as they struggled to catch their breath.

"That's enough!" one teacher barked, his face stern. "You two are going to the head teacher's office. Now." She ordered, voice loud and firm.

[ AT THE BRIDAL STORES ]

Beverly and the lady stepped into the luxurious bridal store, surrounded by rows of exquisite gowns. The owner of the store, who introduced herself as Sophia, guided her through the racks, pulling out dress after dress.

"This one, ma'am, is a masterpiece" Sophia said, holding up a stunning lace mermaid gown. "Mr. Blackmore specifically requested we show you this one." She added, and Beverly's eyes widened when she heard that.

'What the héll was wrong with that man?!' Beverly cursed inwardly.

Returning her attention to what brought her there, she smiled at the lady.

"It's beautiful" She breathed, her mind racing with the thought of wearing it for Reece.

But héll no, she wasn't going to wear that. She was going to pick something else.

Anyway, Sophia smiled, her eyes knowing.

"Try it on, ma'am. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised." She said. It was as if she read Beverly's mind , and heard her saying she was going to pick something else.

With some hesitation, Beverly agreed, allowing Sophia to lead her to the dressing room. As she slipped into the gown, she felt a transformation taking place. The mirror reflected a radiant bride, and for a moment, she forgot about the doubts and uncertainties..

"Ma'am, you look stunning. Reece will be thrilled." Sophia's voice brought her back to reality.

Beverly's heart skipped a beat at the mention of his name.

Oh, Lord! Not Reece again!

Speaking of Reece.....

Beverly suddenly sensed a familiar scent and aura.
