Chapter 6
This statement was indeed sincere. A murderer and a bully, they truly were a perfect match. I hoped they would stay together forever.
"No wonder you're a top student; even your words are so cultured," Aydan said, his mood instantly lifting after a few compliments. "Gabriela, why don't you bring your good friend along?"
I shook my head. "I'll pass. If Rowan suddenly comes back, I can cover for you. You guys have fun."
"Alright, we're off then. Do my homework for me," Gabriela said as Aydan pulled her away.
"Sure," I nodded with a smile. Of course, I wouldn't go. Spending time with people like them would only drag me down.
Besides, I had more important things to do now.
In my previous life, I tried to stop them from being together. Not only did I receive Gabriela's cold stares, but I also faced Aydan's bullying. He locked me in the bathroom, threatened my classmates to isolate me, and tore up my books so I couldn't study properly.
I barely made it to the SAT, only to be sabotaged by Gabriela, leading to my failure. Since fate had given me another chance, I was determined not only to seek revenge but also to get into my dream university.
In the days that followed, I threw myself into studying for the SAT. Meanwhile, Gabriela, just like in my previous life, started neglecting her duties as a student. Whenever she got the chance, she would skip classes with Aydan to go out and have fun.
The difference this time was that, in my previous life, I had constantly tried to dissuade her, so she hadn't gone off the rails so quickly. Now, with my encouragement, she only became more reckless.
She not only smoked, drank, and fought with Aydan but also flaunted their love without any regard. Every day, there were rumors about them kissing in various corners of the school, even outside the bathroom.
Gabriela once asked me if this behavior would have a bad impact. I flattered her, "Not at all. Everyone thinks you two are perfect together. Your PDA is killing me with sweetness!"
In reality, due to Aydan's bad reputation, no one dared to say anything openly. However, behind their backs, people were gossiping, and Gabriela's innocent image was falling apart. Yet, there were still many who couldn't see the truth and believed Gabriela was being forced.
Just like the person in front of me, who wouldn't stop chattering.
"Jennifer, are you even listening?" Isaac raised his voice, seeing me daydreaming. "The first SAT mock exam is coming up. Time is precious. As Gabriela's best friend, shouldn't you be trying to talk some sense into her?"
