Chapter 5

"Speak up." Aydan clenched his fists, ready to strike if I said something he didn't like.

I stared at Aydan. To be fair, Aydan not only came from a good family but was also quite handsome. That's why he was Gabriela's perfect choice for a rich boyfriend. However, aside from his wealth, he had no redeeming qualities. He had an unmistakable air of arrogance and deceit, making him utterly repulsive.

I was itching to see him get what he deserved right now. But logic told me that I had to bide my time before confronting him. I needed him to deal with Gabriela, and besides, I had more important things to do that required time...

After a moment's thought, I shook my head and said something entirely different from before. "Of course not. Our Gabriela is just shy. She knows exactly what she wants, and I follow her lead in everything."

I pulled her out from behind me. "Isn't that right, Gabriela? Go ahead, tell him. Whether you agree or not, I'll support you. Just don't string him along."

Hearing this, Aydan immediately wrapped his arm around Gabriela. "See, even your friend isn't stopping you. You can't refuse me anymore."

His men chimed in at the right moment, chanting, "Be together, be together."

Gabriela pretended to push him away a few times before taking the necklace. She leaned weakly into Aydan's arms and softly "warned," "Aydan, even if I agree now, if you treat me badly, my best friend won't let you off."

"And how exactly won't she let me off?" Aydan raised his chin again, looking at me with disdain.

At this moment, Gabriela still managed to drag me into the conversation. I was fuming inside, but I maintained a sincere smile. "Gabriela loves to joke. You two are a perfect match. I'm thrilled for her. I wish you both a lifetime of happiness and love."
