"You must be sick trying to take me as a Captive well I'm definitely not!" Melissa screamed at the top of her lungs, hitting Allan's shoulder as he carried her like a sack of potatoes.
"Screaming isn't going to help so I'd suggest you tone it down, be more like a lady than a child." She gasped.
"Did you just insult me?" She asked.
"Yeah I just did and you should remain in here." He flung her across the dusty old room, waving at her as he shut the door.
"I'm gonna scream until someone out there hears me." She yelled from within.
"Good luck trying." Allan replied, chuckling loudly as he walked away.
She sat perplexed, wondering if she made the right decision running away from home because this wasn't what she planned for it was giving her the chills. She'd never gotten into another clan without being invited and punishment for intrusion varies from clan to clan.
In her clan you could be hanged if you're found guilty by the seer or you could be shot dead.
She didn't even know what time it was but her cell was becoming dark, telling her it was getting late. She should be on her way, running for her life but here she is,locked up in a dirty dungeon with rodents running everywhere.
The door opened, revealing a young lady but Melissa knew this lady was older than she is.
"You should eat up, to gain energy and__"
"Energy for what?" She was quick to ask as she stood on her feet.
"I'm not a captive why should i be treated as one?" She asked. "It's against the rules of the land to intrude into our territory without a formal invitation, are you a werewolf?" She asked as Melissa nodded.
"I'm seventeen, not yet transformed. It's probably why you haven't gotten the scent." She replied.
"By the way,I'm Alicia the mate of the Beta in this clan." Melissa nodded but didn't take her hand or warm smile.
"Melissa. i really hate being here." Melissa said lowly, rolling her eyes and her eyes rested on the food.
"I really hope it's not raw meat, i do not eat such."
"You can rest assured that our cuisine is really the best in all thirty two clans." Alicia said, smiling at her before walking to the door.
"I'll be right back to take the plates."
Alden stood besides his window, trying to make out why his captive looked and sounded so familiar. From her rich voice to her eyes which spoke volumes, he couldn't place a clue.
The door opened and Allan walked in.
"You seem stressed, what's the issue?" Allan asked as Alden turned to look at him.
"She looks pretty familiar and sounds just like someone I've met before but i cannot really place it."
"We should run a truth and purity test on her, who knows she might be a spy sent to come into our midst to do something terrible." Allan said as Alden scoffed.
"I really don't see it in such a way, i didn't smell any danger when you brought her so it should be okay." He replied as Allan furrowed his brows.
"Did she cast a spell on you or something? This isn't you and this isn't how you work or judge someone or something."
"Allan,I know what I'm doing and trust me I'm never wrong in my judgement. I'm gonna pay a little visit to our captive, come along." As they walked through the hallway, his body guards bowed slightly, giving him way to pass through.
Allan unlocked the cell door and ushered Alden in while following behind. Melissa had just finished eating and Alicia had taken the plates away, she'd just begun to rest her head when she noticed the door opened.
Looking up,she saw Alden and a scowl covered her face.
"You finally got tired of keeping me here? Hurry up and set me free." She said nonchalantly, meeting his gaze squarely.
It baffled Allan how a tiny lady could possess so much audacity.
"Set you free? Don't you have manners?" Allan was quick to ask but Alden placed his palm over his shoulder.
"If i were you, i won't go ahead talking like I'm not a captive,in two seconds you can have your blood splatter around this room,so tame your tongue." Alden said calmly.
"You're not human but you do not have the scent of a werewolf, care to explain?"
"I don't remember owing you an explanation Mr Alpha." She replied defiantly, rolling her eyes.
"And i didn't recall inviting you into my clan."
"That was of course a terrible mistake which landed me in this godforsaken cell it should take a week to wash my skin back to it's original value." Allan closed his eyes, willing himself not to say anything.
Then i guess you have to live by my rules." Alden said,a small smile playing on his face.
"What rules? You're definitely __"
"I gave you enough time to talk, you used it annoyingly, now it's my turn to talk do not interrupt me."
"I've got rules governing this clan and you've broken one of them and i gave you an opportunity to explain yourself but you're so high and mighty, you couldn't do it, for that I'll dish out my rules and that's final.
"You're bluffing." She spat.
"You either stay a month as a captive, watching over the OLD MYTHICAL BEAST or you stay as a captive forever." She scoffed then chuckled.
"What did you just say?" Melissa asked, not believing her ears, she'd only heard about the OLD BEAST from older people in her clan.
"You trespassed so as your punishment, it's either you stay as a watch nanny over the beast down the hall or you remain as a captive here, the call is yours darling." She scoffed.
"I've heard about sick alpha's and i must confess you top the list, who do you think i am?"
"What you are is non of my business!" He screamed at her,his eyes turning gold and black.
"I'm definitely not doing any of those, you ran your ridiculous tests on me and you saw I didn't pose as a threat so I'm leaving and trust me you ain't stopping me."
"Are you just going to let her off the hook?" Beta Allan asked.
"Let her go, I've got better things to do." Alden said as Melissa marched to the door.
"I'm leaving." With that, she walked out.
