Chapter 6 SHE IS HIS WEAK POINT

Marian eyes were wide, so wide it felt like it would pop, her heart was beating rapidly within it cage and she felt her chest tearing apart. "You are joking, right?!" she whispered as her throat trembled

"Why?! I am not!" he answered as he looked straight into her eyes. "Unless you have something you are hiding."

Her breath caught in her throat, she was trapped and he knew it; in a desperate bid to keep her composure, she squared her shoulders and met his gaze head-on.

"If you're so eager to test my loyalty, then go ahead," she challenged, her voice steadier than she felt.

The smile across Adriel's face grew wider, a tiny reflection of something dark and unreadable in his eyes. "We'll see about that," he thought to himself, undoing the towel with a single, fluid motion. The fabric fell to the floor, and Marian's heart nearly stopped.

Just as she thought she couldn't take any more, they heard the door to the bedroom swung open with a loud bang, and Wilson appeared by the curtain that was dividing the parlor from the room, his face a faint picture of anger.

"What in the world is happening here?" he asked, turning his eyes on both of them.

Marian's stomach churned as the tension in the room reached a breaking point.

Marian's heart pounded even more in her chest as she watched Adriel and Wilson lock eyes, the air between them crackling with tension. Adriel didn't flinch, his almost naked form completely unbothered by Wilson's furious presence.

Adriel wasn't completely naked; he had tight boxer briefs on, which did nothing to conceal his impressive genitals.

"What do you think is going on?" Adriel replied coolly, a mocking smile playing on his lips. "Just a husband and wife trying to make out."

Wilson's face darkened. "You don't remember her, Adriel. This isn't you."

Adriel was barely holding onto his composure, he was struggling with the urge to hit Wilson on the face several times till he couldn't breathe again, he hated a thousand people in the world and Wilson was all of them, his sight repulsed him, but he wouldn't risk it, he wouldn't risk people calling him crazy again, he couldn't risk his position in the company and his inheritance. He needed everyone to think he no longer believed Wilson planned his father's death. That way, he could get his revenge when no one saw it coming.

Adriel shrugged, a smirk on his face. "Memory loss changes a man, I suppose."

Marian's mind raced, trying to find a way to salvage the situation. She stepped between them, her hands trembling but her voice firm. "We need to calm down and talk."

Wilson's eyes bore into her, and she could see the barely contained fury within them. "Excuse us, Marian. I need to talk to my brother."

Before she could respond, Adriel reached out and pulled her back against him, his touch sending a jolt of electricity through her. "She stays," he said, his voice a low growl. "We're not done here."

He turned to Wilson, giving him an icy look "How dare you step into my room without knocking" his voice almost turning into a yell "Where you ears dropping?"

Wilson hadn't thought of this when he barged into the room unannounced, he was infuriated by the thoughts that's Adriel was trying to seduce Mariana, he couldn't bear to think that Adriel might make love with Mariana if he didn't stop him, and this was his way of stopping him. He loved Mariana and even he hadn't have sex with yet, he wouldn't give Adriel that opportunity, even if it meant killing him himself.

"I... I didn't eardrop! Why would you accuse me of ear dropping?" Wilson defended

"You barge into my room telling me how I'll treat my wife and you dare ask me why I would accuse you of ear dropping?" Adriel yell "What's your relationship with my wife?" he asked, this time more calm.

"what... what?!" Wilson turned pale, he knew if he wasn't careful he would cause suspicion and his brother was very smart, the last thing he wanted was for his brother to suspect him and Mariana, he knew that would be the end of his plans because Adriel would go to any length to get out the truth if he sensed something fishy.

"What do you mean, what is my relationship with your wife? She is my sister-in-law and you shouldn't be treating her like this, you know what? Do whatever you choose" he walked out of the room fuming with anger, he knew he had to leave before he is caught off guard again.

The door banged shut behind him. He knew Adriel wouldn't touch Marian-not tonight, at least. Adriel was too upset to do so. He headed back to his room, feeling a hint of relief.

The room fell into an eerie silence, and Marian dared not utter a word. She could sense the fury in Adriel's gaze; he remained rooted in the same spot where Wilson had stood moments ago, unmoving like a statue lost in his own thoughts.

She couldn't bare the silence anymore so she spoke "Where are your medications, I think you should take them before sleeping"

"Get out!" he said, his voice a low growl.

"Wha...what?!" she stuttered

"I said get the fuck out of my room! Get lost!" he yelled.

He was so angry, she could almost see flames rushing from his nostrils... she hadn't seen anyone this angry before.

"Are you still here?!" he said through clenched teeth, walking towards her.

Mariana ran as fast as she could to the guest room, shutting herself in the guest room, her mind raced with a mixture of fear and confusion. Adriel's outburst had been terrifying, unlike anything she had experienced before. She paced the room, trying to make sense of the situation.

Meanwhile, Adriel paced around his room fuming with anger, "What gave him the courage to barge into my room like that?!"

Ever since he came back from the psychiatric hospital three years ago Wilson has been very careful around him, he did all he could to stay out of his way, he was shocked that Wilson will confront him all for what?! 'A woman!'

She was no ordinary woman, maybe his girlfriend. Adriel's eyes widened, and a smirk twisted his lips as an idea came to his mind. "She was his weak point!" he thought. "I'll break her. I don't know how long it will take, but I'll destroy her."

As he mulled over his plan, a realization struck him. Breaking Marian would infuriate Wilson. Adriel could almost see the rage in Wilson's eyes, the frustration that would build every time Marian suffered. His carefully constructed walls would crumble, and in his desperation, he would make mistakes. I would be there to exploit every single one of them.

"If I can get under her skin, I can get under his," Adriel mused, the smirk growing wider. "He'll be so blinded by his anger, so desperate to protect her, that he won't see me coming. I'll break him piece by piece, and she will be my baits."

Adriel's gaze hardened. "I will use Marian as a pawn to infiltrate his defenses, I'll expose every strand of vulnerabilities he tries so hard to conceal." The thought of Wilson's downfall fueled him, making his resolve even stronger.

I'll make him suffer, before making him rot in jail for murdering my father in cold blood.
