Chapter.3.

Their papa looked at Hanum..

"Hanum, you are now in the 1st year of high school. How are your study activities.?"

Prof Dr Wijayanto's wife immediately answered.

"Dad, yesterday the principal called mom. She told me that Hanum is very smart. Hers achievements are very good. God willing, in the new school year, Hanum will jump a grade to be in the 3rd year of high school."

Everyone's eyes widened when they saw Hanum who was busy eating mango pieces. Unexpectedly, Hanum, who was only an adopted child, turned out to be very intelligent. Hers father asked...

"Alhamdulillah, this beautiful child, my father's favorite, is great. When you graduate from high school, what college do you want to go to, Hanum.?"

Hanum raised hers face to see hers father while screaming with joy.

"Dad, I want to go to college...".

Hanum immediately fell silent and did not continue speaking but instead looked down sadly. Hers mother turned to Hanum..

"Why are you suddenly silent, Hanum, my beautiful child.?"

Hanum shook hers head.

"I don't want to go to college, ma."

Everyone was surprised to hear Hanum's answer, Aditya immediately replied...

"That's it, Radit. When we graduate from college, don't come back to this house. Why would we meet a lazy younger sibling who doesn't want to go to college.?"

"Yes Adit, I'm embarrassed to have a lazy sister."

Hanum answered softly...

"Actually, I want to be like papa."

The two brothers asked at the same time...

"Like papa?"

Hanum answered softly...

"Yes, I want to go to medical school but it's very expensive. Should I just go to nursing school.?"

Suddenly both parents answered...

"No, Hanum."

Hers mother asked

"Why do you want to study medicine, Hanum? Why do you want to be like papa?"

Hanum shed tears, Hanum immediately hugged hers mother while answering..

"Because papa was a good person who took care of dad in the hospital, even though dad died of leukemia. Since then I want to be like papa, ma."

Hers mother tightly embraced Hanum, her adopted daughter. Hanum still answered softly...

"I want to be like papa. A good person who treats many patients, ma."

Prof. Dr. Wijayanto took off his glasses, rubbed his eyes, said in a hoarse voice holding back tears..

"Come here, Hanum."

Hanum approached hers father who immediately hugged him with great affection.

"You have to go to medical school, papa will pay for you until you graduate."

The girl answered..

"Poor papa has to pay for the lectures of Brother Raditya, Brother Adit and mine. I'll just take nursing school, Dad."

Hers father immediately answered..

"Since you became our child, Allah has bestowed much sustenance on papa and mama. This is Allah's way of helping us to continue to care for you and educate you until we both die, Hanum."

Hanum looked at his father who was smiling..

"Hanum, a month after we adopted you as our daughter, papa was immediately appointed director of the hospital."

Her mother interrupted...

"Hanum has to go to medical school, OK.? Look at Aunt Saidah who is painstaking in teaching you the Al Qur'an and helping to care for you. Allah cured Aunt Saidah of cervical cancer."

Hanum saw Aunt Saidah who was smiling and nodding. Hers mother pointed at Raditya and Aditya.

"Those are your two older siblings, since you became their younger sibling they were immediately enthusiastic about studying and excelling at school until they now want to go to college. Does Hanum want to disappoint us all.?"

Hanum shook hers head. Hers mother asked...

"Hanum wants to study medicine, right?"

"Yes mom".

Raditya patted his little sister's arm.

"You can go the achievement route and memorize the Qur'an, right.? It's free to enter college, you even get pocket money but you always have to be smart, later you can win a scholarship, Hanum.!"

"Really, Radit.?"

"Yes, there is a friend of mine who applied through the merit route and was accepted into medical school."

The girl jumped for joy..

" Yes I do '.

Hers father looked at Hanum.

"Hanum, papa is proud that you want to study medicine. The day after tomorrow we will visit the graves of your biological parents and in the afternoon we will hold a prayer event for both of them, my daughter."

"Yes papa, thank you."

Prof. Dr. Wijayanto and his wife never play around when it comes to their children's education. They both allowed Raditya to study in America and Aditya to study in Tasikmalaya. Aditya, this handsome and intelligent student, was once the idol of the girls on campus, but Aditya remained focused on pursuing his studies even though Sinta Amelia, a student majoring in development economics, was crazy about him. All female students already know that Sinta Amelia is a spoiled girl with a strong character who always wants her wishes to be fulfilled because Sinta Amelia is an only child who has been spoiled by her parents since Sinta was little. Sinta Amelia has been friends with Lembayung Rindu since they were both at university. Sinta and Lembayung's steps stopped when they saw Aditya walking past them. Sinta immediately grabbed her friend Lembayung's hand.

"Come on, let's go to the canteen."

They both entered the cafeteria, Lembayung whispered....

"That's Aditya sitting alone. How about we sit with him, Sinta.?"

Sinta answered very enthusiastically.

"Yes, Lembayung."

The two of them rushed to Raditya's table, when Shinta wanted to sit next to Aditya, at that moment Lembayung immediately took the empty chair next to Aditya. Sinta's angry look at Lembayung was clearly visible in Sinta's eyes. Annoyed, Sinta was forced to sit on a chair in front of Aditya who was too busy eating meatballs. Sinta took courage and greeted the handsome student she loved.

"Aditya, when you finish eating... please take me home, okay?"

The handsome student was still chewing meatballs. Lembayung elbowed Aditya's hand.

"Aditya, let's watch a film."

Aditya immediately stood up but Sinta's hand grabbed Aditya's hand.

"You want to take me home now, Raditya?"

Raditya withdrew his hand while responding ..

Sinta and Lembayung really didn't expect Aditya to talk to the two of them like that. Aditya walked away leaving them still gawking. Sinta threw her bag on the table, surprising Lembayung .

"What are you doing, Sinta.? Just shock people."

Sinta stared sharply with anger at her friend Lembayung.

"I invited you to the canteen to accompany me, why are you so presumptuous as to sit next to Aditya?"

With an exasperated annoyance, he answered...

"Am I not allowed to sit near Aditya.? I have a crush on Aditya."

Violet's answer made Sinta feel as if she had been struck by lightning. Sinta's anger can no longer be stopped.

"I thought we were friends but why do you have a crush on Aditya even though you know I love Aditya."

Lembayung doesn't want to lose to his best friend, Sinta. His mouth sarcastically answered...

"You think you're the only one who can have a crush on Aditya, the idol student. Let's compete as to which of us can win Aditya's love?"

It was really painful that Lembayung's words made Sinta disappointed. Sinta kept her head down but in her heart said... you are my best friend but you made me hate you and I will definitely repay you for all your cheating on me, I miss Lembayung.
