Adorned in a chic professional outfit complemented by high heels, Baylee stood poised and elegant, clearly having invested effort in her appearance.

Julian was caught off guard by her presence, not having anticipated her arrival.

Yet, Malcolm interpreted Julian's silence as an implicit nod towards Baylee, a sign perhaps of openness to giving her an opportunity. He gestured for her to proceed with her introduction.

With a thankful look towards Malcolm, Baylee took a deep breath and began the pitch she had meticulously prepared.

"Mr. Lewis, I'd like to introduce myself once more. My name is Sia Dayne, and my portfolio includes extensive experience in event planning. Just in the previous year, I managed eight charity events, one of which garnered extensive attention in Breross for an entire week. You may be familiar with it, and I believe my experience speaks volumes of what I can bring to the table."

The event she referenced did ring a bell for Julian-it had been organized for Spark Capital, a competitor of Blue Capital.

The event's success had not only boosted Spark Capital's visibility but had also diverted significant sponsorships and projects away from Blue Capital, affecting its market standing.

Confronted with this realization, Julian shelved any initial reservations about Baylee. Her direct connection to his business interests made dismissing her outright no longer an option.

Noting Julian's restraint from sending her away, Baylee saw a glimmer of opportunity. She pressed on, "If you entrust me with this project, Mr. Lewis, I'm confident in my ability to deliver results beyond your expectations."

After sharing her vision, Baylee anxiously awaited Julian's response, aware that this moment could define her future.

"Continue." Julian finally broke the silence with a firm yet intrigued tone.

Surprised yet swiftly regaining her composure, Baylee extended a folder towards Julian. "Here are detailed case studies of my previous projects. I'd like to walk you through them, to offer a clearer picture of my expertise and approach..."

Baylee elaborated on her previous event planning experiences nonstop, the discussion stretching over thirty minutes, with Julian attentively listening throughout.

Growing more hopeful with each passing moment, Baylee concluded her presentation and awaited Julian's response in silence, her gaze fixed on him.

Julian returned her look, visibly impressed by the transformation from her initial nervousness to the confidence she now radiated.

Her thorough presentation had indeed made an impact on him.

Yet, he remained stoic, finally stating, "I'll give you an opportunity. Present a preliminary plan in three days."

Baylee was momentarily breathless, scarcely believing her success in swaying Julian.

Striving for composure, she smiled genuinely, gratitude evident in her nod. "Thank you, Mr. Lewis."

Though this was merely the first step towards the lucrative fifty million deal, it was a significant one.

"Very well, I should get going then," Baylee announced, ready to leave and begin work on her proposal that would hopefully impress Julian further.

As she moved to close the door behind her, Malcolm's inquiry floated through the gap. "By the way, how's the divorce proceeding?"

"The divorce will be finalized as quickly as possible," Julian replied, his voice carrying a hint of frustration that Baylee could clearly discern.

Although she couldn't see his face, Julian's tone allowed Baylee to picture his vexation.

With the door now shut, Baylee hastened away, her mind racing.
