Chapter 4 : Grumpy

Nikolas gawked at the beautiful but clumsy, special, and stupid lady before him.

"If I had no intentions of saving her, would she have just passed out?" He wondered, shaking his head as he thought of how to wake her up.

He didn't know much about helping ladies and wondered why he was being too nice.

He had glided to her falling body when she passed out and without much effort carried her to a suitable place.

He looked around and got a bottle-water. He opened it and emptied the whole content on her face making her sneeze and cough violently.

She almost coughed her lungs out, her eyes red and dripping with water.

"Am I in heaven? Did you die with me clone or heaven is filled with handsome clones?" She inquired, making him scoff and push her aside.

"I just saved your life again, you owe me a lot, I wonder how you'll pay me back" He frowned, standing up and she rose, inspecting her wet clothing.

"Stepmother would kill me! You should have just let me die" She grumbled.

"You're welcome" He replied harshly and she hissed, glaring at him.

"Just let me get what I want, you can go now. Shoo" She replied, shooing him away and he shook his head, walking away.

He stood at a corner, watching her every move.

He couldn't tell why but he felt the need to protect her, it felt like danger was at every corner and she easily leapt into those corners.

She finished buying her goods and headed towards the same path she almost got raped at and he wondered why she was so foolish.

"Why aren't you using the taxi?" He found himself saying and noticed his legs had walked to her side.

"Because I don't have enough money for transport, assuming you had let me get my share from that woman I wouldn't have to use my legs" She replied rudely with a snort and he pulled her towards a taxi.

"What are you doing?" She asked and he shoved her inside, ordering the taxi to drive.

Her heart pounded when she heard her street name, she wondered how he knew it and what other things he knew.

"What if my stepmother sees me coming out of the taxi? What if she sees him? What would she do? Damn she would think he's my lover" She panicked and he chuckled, making her raise a brow.

"I would drop you far from the house, I'm not that stupid" He mumbled and she gasped.

"How do you do that?"

"Read your thoughts? I wouldn't be able to do that if you didn't give yourself away with your facial expression" He scoffed and she huffed, mimicking his words as she turned away.

He scowled at the annoying lady in front of him, if only she knew who he was then she would never mimic him or roll her eyes at him.

Her shoulder was touching his and he became aware of how close they were, the taxi felt stuffy.

He tried to clear his thoughts and think of something else but this woman and her body kept haunting his head.

He couldn't help but notice how soft her skin felt, her milk colored skin shone brightly and he glanced at her.

Momentarily, he was drowned in her hazel eyes, he turned sharply, gritting his teeth.

It took all his strength to restrain himself from having her in the taxi... All her moves were seductive and he couldn't place why he was holding back.

If only she knew how she disrupted his thoughts, made his head go wild and his inner man reacted viciously.

If she knew the effect she was having on him, she wouldn't hesitate to use it against him.

"Sexy clone..." she trailed, rubbing his shoulders with a sweet, deceptive smile and he rolled his eyes, wondering what she wants again.

"What do you want now?" His cold eyes moved to her white neck, his tongue went dry.

"You're harsh, I was only trying to be romantic.... You do know that we have chemistry between us right? If you don't then you should try to feel it" She continued, giving her best smile.

"And so?" He was still peeking at her neck and wondered how sweet it'll be to kiss her delicate skin

"And you made me lose lots of money today.... And you wasted my time at the market..."

He threw a bundle of money at the driver, earning a gasp.

"How could you give him everything?! Don't you know the value of money? Are you sick?" She inquired, mouth agape.

"It's my money, not yours" He replied harshly.

"So baby.... I was wondering if you could give me two bundles of money, it's actually little but I'll manage it. I need it for my medicine..."

"You're sick?"

"Yes! Very sick, I've had asthma right from birth, few years ago I was diagnosed with cancer and up till date I've been fighting the two illness, it's taking a big toll on me, and if I don't get money for my drugs, I might end up dead before the end of this week" She replied, holding her head and feigning sad eyes.

He chuckled, reading her mind... "Did she take me for a fool?"

"I know you're sick but only in the brain, I can recommend some good herbs that would cure all your ailments...."

"My money remains in my pocket and get your hands off me" He answered and she broke into tears.

"You have all the money in the world, why not help a lover in need... I need this money for my drugs, I could die tomorrow or even today if you don't help me..."

"Lover? You could have been dead 25 minutes ago... I'll get a doctor to come examine you. I need to talk to your family" He was getting irritated with her constant nagging.

"Why would they let a cunning, mentally deranged, and clumsy person like you come out? You should be bound with chains in the house" He replied and she turned red with anger.

"Okay fine! I lied okay? I'm not sick... but could you give me atleast one bundle of money, you should consider the stress I've gone through today, everything that has happened... I deserve to get something, a little compensation" She pleaded shamelessly.

"How could you be so shameless? You owe me a lot and you're still trying to get more"

She was really shameless and daring, He thought.

"Since I'm owing already, you can just give me one bundle and add it to my debt, I promise to pay you back very soon... I'll do anything you want" She blurted and he smirked.

"Anything?" He confirmed and she nodded.

"Give that driver a blow job"

"What! Eww! No! You can go to hell with all your money! You can eat your money for all I care! I don't give a fuck about your new notes..." She cursed and the driver stopped.

He leaned towards her, making her move back, his lips grazed hers lightly but it was enough to leave a trail of saliva and he opened the door, making her racing heart calm.

"I'll be gone for a little while, try not to get into trouble, don't get carried away..." He instructed, stroking her cheeks gently and she pushed his hands away.

"Go and never return!"

"I know you don't mean those words, you can dream about me everyday.... Don't get too sad, I'll surely be back and this time I might take you along when I'm leaving again" He promised.

He leaned towards her, captured her lips in a gentle kiss, his tongue knocking hers out as he tried to suck the air out of her body and released her, pushing her out of the car roughly.
