Chapter 1 My Master Is My Mate

Nyla's POV:

I opened my eyes in horror and abruptly sat up in bed.

Layers of sweat broke out on my forehead, and I panted heavily.

It was that damn dream again. I had another nightmare.

My head ached, so I rubbed my temples for a while. Then I raised my head and looked at the clock on the wall. My eyes instantly opened wide.

Damn! It was already ten o'clock! How could I oversleep?

My heart was in a panic. I took a deep breath to calm myself down.

We, Omegas, had to wake up before the sun rose from the horizon to start serving our masters. I was already very late.

I was nervous. Sure enough, I would be scolded again today.

I didn't waste any more time. I rushed to the bathroom to wash up. While splashing cold water on my face to sober up, I couldn't help blaming myself.

What was going on with me? Recently, I felt something was wrong with me.

I always felt sleepy. If only I could, I would sleep all day. And not only that. I also had a strange appetite. I ate much more than I used to.

I stood in front of the mirror and looked at my reflection. I patted my pale face hard.

Get yourself together, Nyla Higgins! I murmured to myself. "That nightmare is over. Don't think about it anymore. Focus on your goal. Remember, your mother is still lying in the hospital bed. You have to work hard to pay for her medical expenses."

After talking to myself, I took a deep breath, pulled myself together, and rushed to the kitchen. Before I could even stand still, I was scolded, "Nyla, you are late again! What do you think of yourself? Just because you slept with your master, don't think you have already become somebody. An Omega will always be an Omega. Don't be delusional. Hurry! Entertain the guests now!"

I felt embarrassed, but I didn't dare to talk back. I nodded and said, "Yes, I'll go right away."

I was instructed to serve food to the dining room, so I prepared the dishes and pushed the food trolley out.

On my way, I heard many werewolves around talking about me.

Isn't she the Omega who slept with Killian at the succession banquet?

Yes, that's her. Alpha Robbin was really furious. It was all her fault. She ruined the banquet and made Killian lose the opportunity to inherit the throne of the Alpha.

I heard that she is also a loser without a wolf. Killian will never like her. I really don't know why she can still stay.

I walked past them quickly, pretending I didn't hear anything.

Because I didn't have a wolf, those werewolves thought I was weak and different. So, over the years, I heard all kinds of insults from them. It still hurt me, but I just put up with it. However, they made things more difficult for me after what happened at the succession banquet.

Today was no different. As usual, I tried my best to suppress the bitterness in my heart. I focused on my work, wanting to finish it as soon as possible.

At this moment, a strong smell of smoke suddenly penetrated my nostrils. Then an indescribable electric current exploded in my brain.

My waist softened, and I found it difficult to breathe. I gasped for air. My legs went so weak that I couldn't even stand steadily.

This was not my first time feeling this, so I was very familiar with it. I couldn't help but shiver.

I instinctively looked up and saw a tall and handsome werewolf walking toward me.

As I expected, it was Killian Cohen, one of the sons of the Alpha of the Black Moon Pack. Also, he was the man I slept with that night.

My grip on the food trolley tightened. Unconsciously, those nightmares, memories, and all kinds of terrible scenes flashed in my mind.

That night, I cried and begged over and over again. But Killian turned a deaf ear to me. He still tore off my clothes ruthlessly.

He left a lot of hickeys and bite marks on my skin, especially on my chest. He covered my entire body with his marks while constantly thrusting hard inside me. It was such a terrible experience.

All my life, I would never forget the pain and pleasure he brought me that night.

Nyla Higgins, what are you doing here? How dare you show up in front of me!

Killian's cold voice snapped me back to reality. He was now standing in front of me with a darkened face. "Do you really expect you can be my Luna after you slept with me?"

I didn't... I was at a loss for words. Shock and confusion mixed up in my heart. I subconsciously stepped back.

He warned harshly, "Don't you ever think you can be my Luna. Don't even dare dream about it. I won't fall for your trap. I've already seen a lot of greedy women like you."

I was even more confused. What was he talking about?

I desperately wanted to stay away from him. If possible, I didn't want our paths to cross again.

How dare he accuse me of seducing him! Why couldn't he accept the fact that he raped me that night? Why did he pin the blame on me?

I was so angry that my body trembled. But when I saw his icy face, I couldn't help feeling a little aggrieved.

How could he say such things to me?

I was very aware that I was an Omega, and he was my master. But it didn't change the fact that we were mates.
