Chapter 2 Humiliation

Nyla's POV:

While we were having sex that night, our mate bond was very strong. I didn't believe Killian didn't sense it.

I knew he was playing dumb.

That was because, in his eyes, I was just a mere Omega, and I didn't have a wolf. For him, I was not worthy of him at all.

After all, everyone knew that he was the most powerful werewolf in the history of the Black Moon Pack. And he would soon inherit the throne of the Alpha.

When I saw the disdainful look on Killian's face, I took a deep breath to suppress the anger in my heart. But still, I couldn't help retorting, "You are overthinking. Don't worry. I don't want to be your Luna. Not ever! And don't be too confident. Your position as the next Alpha is not guaranteed yet."

Killian froze for a moment. Obviously, he didn't expect me to talk back to him. When he came back to his senses, he snapped, "What did you say?"

I was also stunned. It was already too late when I realized what I had done. For the first time in my life, I stood up to Killian.

If there was one person I feared the most in the entire pack, it was him. I could never raise my head in front of him. In fact, I always took a detour when I saw him.

But today, I had said so many rebellious words to him. This was very unexpected.

Now I realized what a terrible thing I had just done.

The man in front of me was Killian Cohen.

He was the most powerful werewolf and the future Alpha of the Black Moon Pack.

Killian's expression looked terrible now. Looking at him made my heart tremble.

I was afraid that he would tear me apart. So, before he could react, I stepped back and quickly ran away without even saying goodbye to him.

Fortunately, he didn't stop me. He didn't catch up with me, either. I breathed a sigh of relief.

But I was still in a panic. I pushed the food trolley to the dining room with lingering fear. At this time, all the guests and the Cohen family members were already seated. Killian was also in his seat. He even arrived ahead of me.

Guilt surged in me, so I immediately lowered my head. I didn't dare to look at him.

What if Killian retaliated?

My heartbeat was abnormally fast, but I tried my best to calm down. Then I started to respectfully serve the food.

Robbin's sharp gaze made me feel a lump in my throat. I wanted to escape the dining room as soon as possible.

What is wrong with you? Killian asked with a frown.

I swallowed hard to suppress the shame and anger in my heart. Then I raised my trembling hand and pointed at the bald werewolf. "He... He touched my butt."

The bald werewolf didn't get angry with my accusation. Instead, he smiled playfully and pointed at me. "Of course not. You're slandering me."

My eyes widened in disbelief. This bald werewolf molested me in front of so many people. How could he accuse me of slandering him?

I touched you? Did anyone see it?

As he spoke, he looked around blatantly.

The werewolves at the dining table all shook their heads. Some even started pointing at me.

Isn't she the Omega who seduced Killian?

Yes, that's her. Since Killian has been ignoring her after that day, she is now trying to seduce someone else.

Their words made me angry and anxious at the same time. "No, he is lying."

I felt helpless. I wanted to argue, but no one was willing to listen to me.

I was so angry that I almost burst into tears. I couldn't help looking at Killian, hoping he could somehow say something for me.

After all, he was my mate.

After the succession banquet, everyone was convinced that I was a seductress. I was someone who would do anything for money and power. So, if this happened to me again in the future, no one would definitely help me.

At this moment, my heart ached so much that I found it hard to breathe. The air around the dining room seemed suffocating.

Suddenly, the voices around me became distant. And their faces gradually became blurry.

Everything around me began to spin. Then my knees went weak, and I collapsed to the floor. But before the surroundings turned dark, I seemed to see Killian run toward me worriedly.

It seemed my mind was really in a mess. How could I have such an outrageous hallucination?
