Carol is currently driving towards the villa gumamela owned by her cousin Maxon, and when she entered she was not surprised to see many construction workers there. The entire villa has been under renovation for a long time now since Adira was in the hospital, and her cousin's reason for renovating the whole villa was nothing but, "For my sugar's safety." and I really think that he's insane for doing such thing.
For sugar's safety her ass. Well, the villa has almost become a big mall because there is a grocery shop standing there, there is also a play world, a salon, a dessert shop, a dress shop, a book store, and also a huge gymnasium. She's hoping that one of these days Adira will realize that the one she married has a brain issue.
Everything she sees now is only for his cousin's beloved wife, who is none other than Adira. And speaking of her cousin and it's wife, she has news that the two are in another country which is good because she gets attack by ants every time she sees them together. They don't even consider a single person like her especially when they are in their own world.
She drove as fast as she could but instantly slowed down when she reached the woods. There is a pathway there leading to their mansion so she won't get lost unlike before, when only her parents knew about the secret passage.
"Still beautiful as ever," Caro, whispered when she saw a large and Spanish styled mansion in front of her, and that was none other than her beloved home.
She grew up here, but even so, she still couldn't help but be amazed by its beauty. At the entrance of the mansion you will be greeted by huge trees and various types of flowers as well as a small river and deafening laughter that comes from the workers of their mansion.
Carol carefully parked her black jaguar car in the shade and was greeted with a smile by her Mother whom she had just seen on the veranda of their second floor.
Carol quickly glanced at her reflection in the mirror of her car and got out smiling. Her blue orbs met her mother's brown orbs in an instant, and they both flashed a big sweet smile when they saw each other's faces closely.
Her mother's beauty has never faded.
"Mom," Carol said softly and tightly hugged her mother who was now in tears.
"Oh, my beautiful baby..." her mother said while caressing her hair.
For some unknown reason, Carol's eyes warmed until she didn't realize she was in tears.
"Mom, I missed you..." Carol said while sobbing softly.
"I missed you too baby Carol," her mother said and kissed both of her cheeks. "My daughter is really beautiful, just like me."
Carol chuckles because of what her mother stated. She really is an heir of her mother because they both love boasting.
"We are both beautiful mom. Only my older brother has a different face because he is ugly," Carol said and giggled softly, that eventually followed by her mother's loud laughter. But Carol quickly stopped when she saw her father watching them from afar with a wide smile on his face.
Carol quickly ran between her and her father's direction, and without a word she jumps into her father's arm causing them both to fall down and instead of grunting in pain they both laughed.
"I missed you dad. But you're weak, you can't lift me up anymore," Carol pouted and confronted her father.
Carol heard her father groaned because of disbelief, which is why she closed her eyes tightly to stop her laughter. Her father really hates to be called weak.
"I'm not weak princess, you're really heavy so I can't handle you anymore," her father said, causing her to gasps in horror.
"Why can you do it with mom? How about me? You don't love me anymore?" Carol asks while faking her sobs.
Carol's father let out a deep sigh and said, "Your mom is different, princess. She's my strength that's why I can carry her around without a problem,"
Carol's face crumpled because of what her father said. She really thought that she was free from Maxon's cheesy lines, but her father prove her wrong. He's much into it, than Maxon.
"Stop it dad! You're giving me chills," Carol roared and stood up as her father did the same.
"Geez princess, watch your mouth. I'm still your dad," said, her father.
"Yeah? Well, I am your one and only daughter, and just like grandfather said, I got all my traits and attitude from you, that I'm your girl version. So be patient and accept it dad," she said with a wide grin on her lips.
Her father pointed at her face like she did something very wrong.
"Honey, you're daughter is bullying me!" her father reported to her mother who's now watching them with a smile.
"She won't help you dad, because you're old," Carol teased her father, even the great painter can't paint her father's crumpled face.
At the age of sixty five, her father Wayne is still undeniably strong and handsome man. It's not actually obvious that he is already senior citizen because of his posture and body shape as well as his angelic face. And of course, her mother--Cherry. Even though she is already fifty nine years old, she still remains sexy and healthy. She didn't even look like she gave birth to two.
"Am I really that old honey?" her father asks tenderly, who's now clinging to her mother's arm.
"Yes. You just can't accept that you're old," her mother replied and laughed.
"You're bullying me too?" her father asks in disbelief, making her and her mother giggle.
"Dad, stop acting like a child. It's not appropriate," Carol said and she acted like puking.
Her father was about to pinch her cheeks, so she quickly ran into their mansion and when she entered, she was met by an antique grand piano that still works today. She used to play it since she was a child.
Memories from her childhood flashed on her head as she looked around their mansion. Nothing's new, what it looked like when she left is still the same until now.
"Welcome home, Carol." her parents said in unison, who were standing next to her.
A huge sweet smile appears on Carol's lips because of what her parents said. And her eyes began to wet and seconds later, she started crying in her parents arms until she lost her consciousness.
Carol wakes up in a very familiar room. It's her room since she was a child until she reached the age of twenty one. She hasn't been home for a long time. Four years.
Carol got up from her queen sized bed and earnestly observed her room. In every corner of it she sees herself as well as her youth. She can see a little version of her running around, singing, dancing and screaming because of happiness.
A knock from her room's door brought her back to reality. She immediately came to it and opened it, and a wide smile drew on her lips when she saw her father and mother both holding a silver tray with plate, glass, fork, and food in it.
"Come in," Carol said and opened the door widely.
Her parents immediately entered her room and placed the silver tray they're holding on her side table and after that they both sat on her bed.
"I rally though you're sick because you lost consciousness, you made me nervous," her father said.
"I'm sorry dad. I didn't even know that was going to happen," she said and sigh.
"That's what you get for not visiting us and for making us worried about your safety," her mother said, and there was a hint of sullenness in her voice. which is why she quickly approached her and hugged her tightly.
"I'm sorry mom, I got really busy, You know I am a doctor," Carol saidl while repeatedly kissing her mother's cheek.
"Why are you still working, my daughter? There's no need," Carol's father said while gently staring at them.
Carol sneered because of what her father said, and said, "I have to work for my own luxury and wants, dad. And one more thing, I don't want to depend on you and mom. I know that we're rich but I don't want to be called a spoiled brat who only depends on her parents."
A proud smile appears on her parents lips because of what she said that makes her feel at ease.
She knows that her parents will understand her as long as she loves what she's doing they're not against about it.
"But I heard that you are broken-hearted, my daughter? Four days?" her mother asks while smiling.
Carol's eyes narrowed because of this. It seems that the gossip has already reached her mother. And she didn't even ask who said that because she only told one person that her relationship was four days, and that was none other than her older brother Charles.
"Mom, it's nothing," Carol said and looked away.
"You got broken hearted just in four days Carol? Just like I'm telling you," her father said, and shook his head slightly.
Carol just let out a deep breath because she was sure they wouldn't stop her until they get what they want.
"Well, the truth is that it was three days and not four," She said, causing her parents to gasps in surprise.
They are being over acting again.
"Then? What happened? Why did you two break up? Who broke up, you or him? Is it handsome?" Carol's mother asked one question after another. Which is why she turned to look at her father to ask for help but she go disappointed to see that he was also waiting for her answer.
"Dad..." Carol called her father's attention.
"What? Don't dad me Carol, spill the beans. We're waiting," her father said, and raised an eyebrow at her indicating that he is serious.
Carol doesn't have a choice but to answer her parents questions. She told everything from the beginning, how she met that man whose real name is unknown to her. They just met in a dating app and they're just texting for almost three days and she's not sure if they're really been in a relationship because nothing happened between the two of them. They do exchanged, "I love you" but nevertheless, that three days relationship is worth it.
The man behind the black profile treats her very well, he even sends her a gift that she hid well. She hadn't heard his voice yet because they hadn't called. Plain text only, that's it.
"Then, what happened after that?" her mother asks after she told them the truth.
Carol smiles and said, "Nothing special mom, back to normal."
"Aww...it's too bad, my daughter. You didn't get a chance to really know him," her mother said regretfully, who receives criticism from his father.
"Don't say that honey! Our little princess is not allowed to get married yet. She's not even thirty!" her father said, whining.
"Don't be too hard on your daughter! You also wants grandchildren didn't you?!" her mother snapped, with that they started debating on who's who.
Carol just shook her head and started eating. She just let her parents argue because after that they would surely complementing each other again. They can't stay mad at each other for a long time. Her parents are both softy that's why she can't figure out where her older brother Charles got his strong personality. And just like before, ants are lurking at her again because of her parents sweetness. She's not a thing but she feels like she's just a display and an air at the moment.
When Carol finished eating, she quietly left her room and went to her older brother Charles's room because he said that her present was there. She happily opened the door of her brother's room but was startled to see a bunch of printed screenshots scattered there and those screenshots came from her conversation with the mysterious guy that she met online.
"Brother Charles!" Carol shouted with all her might due to annoyance.
She will surely get revenge. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.
