Chapter 7 Do You Deserve To Be A Man

Fletcher walked forward and comforted Freya hypocritically, "Freya, don't take it so seriously. I'm just borrowing the money for a while."

Freya couldn't help feeling sad.

She sold herself to the Hayes family to save Healthbridge Hospital for her mother. But her effort was in vain.

Fletcher was so despicable and shameless, and she hated him very much.

"Fletcher, why are you doing this? I obeyed your order to marry Brennan. But what did you do? You took all the money away and enjoyed it with your mistress and illegitimate daughter."

This remark poked Fletcher's sore spot. He got so angry that he roared, "I'm your father, so I can use that money as I like. You have no right to tell me what to do."

Finally, Freya saw through him. "My mother fell ill, and the hospital was in a crisis. But you did nothing. I exchanged my marriage and freedom for that investment, but you misappropriated the money. Fletcher, ask yourself. Do you still deserve to be a husband, a father, and a man?"

Slap!

Before Freya could say anything more, Fletcher slapped her hard in the face.

He exerted so much force that she tilted her head and fell to the floor, feeling a sting on her cheek.

Her head hit the corner of the coffee table, and the sharp pain made her feel dizzy.

Freya's words angered Fletcher because of embarrassment. He looked at her condescendingly, pointed at her nose, and scolded, "Your mother has spoiled you too much. How dare you say such rebellious words to me!"

Hailey stepped forward and stopped him. She said hypocritically, "Dad, you know that Freya was born with a silver spoon in her mouth. She has never been wronged before, so it's normal for her to be angry. Please don't be mad at her."

"Humph! If she pisses me off, I will kick her out and she will have nothing. I'll see where she can go," Fletcher said with a ferocious expression.

Hailey pretended to be surprised and covered her mouth. Freya is now Mrs. Hayes. The Hayes family is rich and powerful. I think they will at least give her three meals every day."

While listening to their sarcastic words, Freya stood up slowly with the support of the wall.

Hailey walked to her side, pretending to be considerate. "Freya, leave now. Don't make Dad angry. He has raised you over the years. You have delicious food on the table and beautiful dresses to wear. He has been very kind to you. And you still want the three hundred million dollars? How greedy you are!"

Their arrogant faces made Freya so angry that she shouted, "Don't go too far! Fletcher, if you don't give me the three hundred million dollars today, I promise you will never live in peace again."

Fletcher was enraged at once. "Bitch! Do you really think I'm afraid of your dying husband? And do you think I don't know what happened yesterday? As soon as Brennan woke, he wanted to drive you away. You are such a useless bitch. Fortunately, I have already gotten the money from his family. As I expected, I couldn't count on you. You are as useless as your dying mother."

Looking at the ugly faces in front of her, Freya felt she was in hell. Fletcher and Hailey were like demons, waving their claws at her.

But the anger in her heart gave her the strength. She pounced on Fletcher and screamed, "I'll fight with you to death!" However, her attack posed no threat to him. Fletcher fiercely pushed her to the floor again and picked up the ashtray on the coffee table.

"How dare you! Do you think you can already be lawless after you married into the Hayes family? Today I'll let you know what I can do."

Freya looked at the ashtray that was about to hit her forehead. She was so scared that she closed her eyes and waited to feel the pain. However, the pain she had anticipated didn't come.

A deep and cold male voice sounded in her ears.

"Oh? That dying husband you are talking about wants to see what you will do to my wife."
