Chapter 3 .

It's been a week since the staircase incident, and still, I'm not talking to him.

Knock Knock

"Come in"

"Master says to have dinner with him," said Derek, while smiling, which is kind of weird because we are still not on friendly terms, I don't mean to be rude or something, it's just there is something in his eyes...

"I'm not hungry" He just nods and left

"I lied, I'm so hungry, why can't he just ask someone to bring me my meals just like what he did last week," I muttered while walking out on the balcony.

"You can just ask me" That made me jump on my feet.

"You scared the living daylight out of me, What the heck?!" I screamed.

He just stands there looking façade. I didn't even hear him come in, as well as opening the door. But that's not my issue here. It's him!

It boils my blood, that unaffected, unemotional face of his like when he shot my father.

"Can't you just at least give me my phone I need to call my brother!" Still looking unbothered.

"NO! And no food will be delivered, dinner is downstairs." He left slamming the door shut.

I'm so bored the only thing I've been doing here is eating and sleeping, it sucking the life out of me. Since he told me that the food won't be delivered, I make it a point that I will only come down when I know that he was done. So, it's been weeks since I last saw his face or show his face to me. Which is good because I don't feel like interacting with my dad's killer.

"My lady" yes, it's only been Derek that I'm having a conversation.

"Yes"

"Your lunch is ready"

"Thank you" If you call that conversation.

I got up from me from my throne, the bed, for the last few weeks. Then went down, I still make sure that annoying killer guy is not around.

I finished my lunch with ease, then I went back to the room. I didn't bother doing the dishes because the last time I did the maids were being lectured by none other than Derek himself. And defending them only gets worst.

"Waking up from the afternoon nap surely gives you enough energy" I got up, and went to the bathroom, I make sure I'm presentable enough to face him.

"I can do this" I plan to have a deal with him.

As I walk through the hallway to his office, which I already memorized, I'm starting to get nervous my heart beats so fast it feels like it's going to have a nervous breakdown.

Now that I am already in front of his door, I'm having second thoughts....

"Should I?" I turn my head so fast I got dizzy

"Derek! you scared me!" Holding my chest, trying to feel as if my heart is still beating.

"Well, you've been standing still for a full minute, though you need a hand"

"Thank you, but I don't need it" glaring at him

He just shrugs and leaves

I twist the doorknob opening it, only to find the room empty

"Great, just when I got the courage." I open all the doors I could open and found no one

"Where the hell is he?" I muttered to myself. I went downstairs trying to look at every crook and cranny, but still no signs of him. I went to the front door, hoping I could go out but there are stationed guards, they stared me down thinking I will be intimidated, that when they were wrong, I never back down.

So, we did a staring contest, we'll see who's going to end up losing, laughing to myself

"It's useless, they won't bulge they'll only listen to me"

"You, do you enjoy startling people?" He just shrugs

"Then tell them to open the door" I screamed in frustration he just looks at me opening then closing his lips as if contemplating if will or will not tell them

"Ummm, no can do my lady, even if I did tell them, we still need the master's approval." his word made me roll my eyes

"Fine!" I walk out, and the only place I haven't visited is the garden, good thing they let me

I got curious, and from my window, I could see half of the maze, the best thing to do is explore.

"Maybe he's here, trying to hide from me" I laugh at my silly thinking.

"This isn't so hard" I keep walking towards the sound of splashing waters, right there in the middle of a fountain

"Wow!" It's amazing, it is flat in the ground with pebbles around it, what amazed me is that there is a vortex right in the middle and the water is flowing creating a glass-like feature around the vortex.

Enough of this I need to find him! I took the path it took earlier to go back

"I've already been here" looks like I'm lost. A while ago before making it to the center, I remember the grass walls is full of flowers, now all I see are some torn and dried flowers on the ground, I'd been walking in a circle. Still, I again tried to find my way out, but its no use,

"yup definitely running in circles here" I muttered.
