Chapter 4 The Start Of Something New

The next day.

All the members of NO Borders are inside the rehearsal studio. They are busy practicing their dance moves for for their upcoming concert.

"Okay, let's finish the first half of our rehearsals! It's time for lunch!" their manager, Adam, finally announced.

All the members did a high-five after they heard their manager.

"Alright!" Toru happily chirped.

"What's for lunch, Adam?" Kei curiously asked.

"I ordered your lunch food from your favorite restaurant." Adam responded.

While the other people are having an enjoyable chat with each other, Hiro is quietly resting at the corner. He took a big gulp from his bottled water, then he started wiping his sweat.

"Is there something wrong, Hiro?" Jun, one of his team member, suddenly approaches him.

"I'm okay... Why do you ask?" Hiro asked back, while frowning.

"Well, I hope you won't feel offended by you've been making so many mistakes awhile ago, and it seems like your mind is floating somewhere."

Hiro just sighed in return. Jun was right. Something has been bothering him. He is getting more and more worried about his grandmother, because he feels like her dementia is rapidly progressing.

Hiro snaps out from her reverie when he head Jun's voice again.

"You don't have to worry about me, dude. I'm alright." he tries to reassure Jun.

Evening finally came.

After taking a shower and after she's done drying her hair, Cherish throws herself unto the bed. After all the excitement of seeing her Aunt Felice, her Uncle and her twin cousins, she's now feeling tired.

And before she knows it, her mind and her body finally drifted to sleep.

Cherish woke up the next day, feeling fresh and light.

Today is her first day at work as a Caregiver and Nurse at the Himawari Nursing Facility where her Aunt Feliza also works.

She quickly washed her face and puts on her work uniform. Afterwards, she finally left her room and went to the dining table.

"Good morning, Cherish! You came at a perfect time! Breakfast is ready." her Aunt Feliza smilingly greeted her.

"Where is Uncle and the twins?" Cherish asks in a curious manner.

"Oh, the twins will wake up in the afternoon. And your Uncle already went to work." Aunt Feliza said.

A few seconds later, Aunt Feliza and Cherish are eating breakfast together. Her Aunt is telling her more information about the Nursing Facility, where they are going to work together.

"--And if you need help, don't hesitate to ask the other staff for help, okay?"

"Yes, Auntie." Cherish nodded in return.

Aunt Feliza suddenly looked at the wall clock, and her eyes widened in shock.

"Oh! Is that the time? We have to hurry, Cherish. We might be late for our morning meeting!"

Cherish quickly drank her glass of milk. Then afterwards, she and her Aunt are now walking their way to work...

"Here are your schedules, guys! You'll be having an interview on a morning show on a popular T.V. Station. After that, you will go to the rehearsal studio to practice for your upcoming concert. Then, you'll have free time for yourselves. I don't want you to overwork, so please use your free time to relax." Adam informed the NO Borders of their schedule for today.

"Great! At least we're going to have free time for ourselves!" Jun said, while looking excited.

After a few minutes of driving, they finally reached the ABZ Network building where they are going to have an interview for an entertainment show.

"Okay, guys. Here we are at ABZ Network Building. And just look at that! Many fans are waiting for you at the entrance gate. Smile and greet them, okay?" Adam reminded them.

"Wow, there are lot of fans waiting for us!" Toru said in amazement.

"Okay... Here we go." Hiro said, as he opens the door and steps out from the vehicle.

And just like what they have been expecting, the fans started screaming their names. They've decided to do a bit of autograph signing and a quick photo op. And after a few minutes, Adam led them inside the studio for a live interview...

At the same time.

Cherish and her Aunt Feliza are both walking at the hallway, as they are making their way towards Grandma Bien's room, who's going to be Cherish's first patient.

"Are you nervous, Cherish?" her Auntie asks her.

"Well, just a little bit." Cherish answered in return.

"You don't have to be nervous, my dear. Everyone here at Himawari are all warm, kind and gentle, so there's nothing to be worried about." her Aunt enunciated.

After a few more minutes, they stopped at a certain room. Cherish is going to finally meet her first patient.

Cherish's train of thoughts stop in a halt when her Aunt gave her the patient's folder file.

"Grandma Bien has a dementia, Cherish. She's been in Himawari for three years.. .We don't have much problem when it comes to taking care of her needs. Grandma is quiet most of the times, but other than that, it's very easy to take care of her..."

"I see..." Cherish said, as she tries to absorb everything.

"Her only living family member is her grandson, who is a famous idol in Japan. But eventhough he has a busy schedule, her grandson always makes it to a point to visit whenever his schedule permits him to do so." Aunt Felice continues on.

"I understand." Cherish answered.

"Okay. Let's go inside." Aunt Felice suggested.

When her Aunt opened the door, the first thing that she saw was an old woman, who's staring out behind the glass window.

"Good morning, grandma! How did you sleep last night? Did you eat a lot of breakfast?" her Aunt Felice politely asks the old woman.

But the old woman doesn't seem to hear anything. Grandma didn't even bother to look at them, and she just keeps on staring at their glance window... didn't seem to hear anything. Lola Bien didn't even look at them.
