Episode Five

Winifred's Pov

It felt achieve the whole world had come crashing down in front of me, me getting married to a man I don't even know and my dad is so cool with saying all that Nonsense to my face. I'm not even ready to get married yet and they want to force me into a stupid arranged or contract marriage. The pain I felt in my chest was so bad that I had to stop running and sit down to actually catch my breath, I turned around and saw Brenda walking towards me, seems she has been running after me this whole time. I'm really not in the mood to listen to any pep talk right now because the rage inside of me could boil a kettle filled with water, I sat down on a sofa in the sitting room and looked out the window. "I don't want to hear anything you've to say to me right now, please just go away for now. I want to be alone and listen to my own thoughts"I said not stealing a single glance at her.

"Winnie please don't be like that, I know all this is a lot to take in but I just want you to know that I'll always be here for you if you need me , and that's a promise"She said and her mouth curved into a smile. I couldn't even explain the kind of pain I felt right now, I'm in love with someone else and won't marry any old man...Never! I'd a lot to say to Brenda but the words just wouldn't come out of my mouth, finally I had the courage to speak up, "I want to be alone right now so please just go away"I muttered with my eyelids sagged.

Right now I really don't know if I should be happy or sad about all this, well on the bright side Hardin and Bianca are going to be happy cause I wouldn't be a bother anymore. "what are you even thinking winifred?"I asked myself as I stood up straight. I'll have to make Hardin fall in love with me, i turned around and saw Brenda still standing there, and she had a worried look on her face.

"Wow! You're still here...I thought you'd left some minutes ago"I ignored her and walked deeper into the walkway. She slowly walked to meet me.

"Mum just texted me and she wants us to come downstairs for a family meeting. That's all I can tell so don't ask me anymore questions"She Announced and dragged her feet as we walked back.

"Thank God Mum's back because she's going to talk some sense into Dad and all this nightmare would've to come to an end, then everything would go back to the way it was before"I took in deep breaths as I walked down the stairs.

Some minutes later, my sister and I sat down on different couches in the sitting room and same as our parents. I couldn't read the thoughts on my fathers head but I knew he was really worried about so many things and he looked so anxious. "The Both of you might be wondering why your Dad and I decided go call the both of you here and talk about the matter on ground"she said briefly before taking deep breaths. I can't remember the last time I saw my Mum wear this look she had on her face right now. i stole a glance at Brenda and she smiled warmly at me. Her mouth was moving but I couldn't hear a single thing, so I only assumed she would say. "Don't worry anymore because Mums here now and all of this would be over in a jiffy."

Winifred sighed fixed her attention on her dark phone screen, she didn't care anymore and wanted this nightmare to end quickly. My Mum cleared her throat and fixed her gaze on me. "The both of you already know why we're all sited here right now so a lot of questions aren't going to be asked...I believe"My Mum rubbed her hands together and kept a serious face .

"I know what you want to say Mum but I just want you to know that no matter what you and Dad are going to say, my minds already made up so I'm not marrying anyone"I announced with my hands squeezed into a fist.

"Everything we're doing right now is only for the good of the whole family Girls, cause your Mum and I can't lose everything we've worked so hard for."

"But Dad Winifred's just too young to get married to some old man in his late 70's Dad!"My sister persisted and Mum gave her a deadly stare and she kept quiet immediately.

"Baby I know this is really hard for you cause yeah! you don't know what there is to know about marriage and all but still, please do this for the family cause if the company falls...that's going to be a big problem and we all know that, so Winifred please think about it my child"My Mum said calmly but I just couldn't give in to their Demands.

"Help us convince your Sister Brenda, we've already accepted Mr. Adams conditions so the both of you're going to get married anyway. You're free to divorce him after all this is even over so you shouldn't think too much about all this stuff. Aaren's really a nice and handsome guy so I believe you're both going to learn to love each other with time"she said and forced a smile.

"We're going to have a family dinner with Aaren, and his parents are going to be here so please behave and don't ruin this for the family. We give you all you want so please do this"Dad whispered and I faked a smile.

"I want to go upstairs to my room and be alone for now, all this is too much for me to handle. So I'm a collateral then"I Yawned and turned around slowing before walking away.

"The both of you don't have my approval on this cause the both of you are only doing this for your own selfish reasons"I heard Brenda spat but I still didn't look back.

I had school the next morning so I woke up early without waiting for the Maid to come serve and take care of me like she used to every morning. I'm so not in the mood today for any Drama or fight at school, just thinking about all this is enough to make me run mad. I've to avoid Bianca and Hardin at all cost! Don't want to end up in the internet again with new headlines and a lot of nasty comments that's going to make me cry. My family is already going through a lot right now so I don't want any more Nonsense to be added to all this. i looked at myself one last time in the Mirror and forced a smile. "Today isn't going to be so bad, is it?"I asked myself before walking out the door.

Even if I'll have to Ignore my whole family today for some peace and quiet then I'll, and I don't think I'll be home early for their stupid Dinner or whatever Nonsense they want to do. I walked down the stairs and pass the dining table not even stealing a single glance at them.

"Winifrieda stop right there!"My Mum yelled but I didn't listen to her.

"That girl has no manners and all this is your fault woman, you always gave her everything she wanted and I knew right from the start that it would lead to this"I heard my Dad say from afar. He looked pissed.

"Don't tell me that nonsense Downs, you also took part in spoiling her to the core, buying a car for her when she wasn't even up to eighteen. New phones all the time and a black card...now tell me who's at fault here?"

"That's enough the both of you should stop all this fighting right now!"

"You better be home for dinner tonight with our in laws young lady."Mum warned before leaving the dining table. I ignored her and walked out through the front door.
