Chapter 2 1

I was feeling like I am stuck under the cave. Everything was dark, My breathing running fast like I was running from someone and got stuck in a cage. I wanted to see a little light, A light of hope, A light to snatch this darkness away from me.

My leg slipped, and I found myself underwater, trying to breathe but drowning miserably, unable to get little oxygen to breathe "Help!!!! " I yelled and opened my eyes. The sudden light was itching in my eyes. I rubbed my eyes and again opened them and found myself in bed. Everything was white, White bed, white curtain, and smell of antiseptic. The wire connects to my hand and tells me I am in the hospital. I touched my face and body there was no injury, then why am I here?

"What am I doing here?" I asked myself. I was busy finding a way to ask someone and remove this injection from my hand, but the door opened a little. A girl in a pink uniform came inside, but she was startled looking at me and after some time she gave me a big smile like she won some lottery.

"How are you feeling ma'am," She asked checking the machine connected to me.

"Good..." My voice was rough like I haven't enunciated for a long time.

"Are you feeling any dizziness?" She asked, checking my nerves.

"No. Why am I here?" I asked before she can ask any questions.

"Let me call doctors," She said, running from the room.

After a few seconds, a team of almost four doctors comes as I recovered from a grave injury. They checked my body before asking about me.

"How are you feeling," An old doctor asked.

"Good" I replied.

"Why am I here," I asked before they ask anything.

"What do you remember last," The oldest doctor asked and my mind turn blank. I tried to remember what the last thing happened to me.

"I am unable to remember" I whispered.

"What is your name," Another doctor asked.

"Name..." I tried to remember my name, but again my mind showed only darkness.

"I... I don't remember" I whispered with tearful eyes.

"Ok, don't give stress yourself. You will remember things after sometimes" The oldest doctor said smiling.

"How long I have been here," I asked.

"Just don't stress, for now, take rest", the Doctor said, and the nurse gave me some injections.

"Did you inform him?" He asked the nurse.

"Yes, He is coming," She said, and they left the room.

I heard last what they said after I fell deep asleep. It has been a long I woke up again, and I sat on the bed and looked out of the window. Only the sky was visible from the window, which meant could be I was on the top floor or might be on the highest floor.

"Who am I?"

"Anyone from my family knows I am here in this hospital"

"Where would I go after getting discharged from the hospital,"?

I was busy in my world when the door opened, there stood a handsome gentleman with a three-piece suit. His hair was dirty blonde and had blue eyes. He gave me a big smile and came to my bed.

"Amber..." He said looking at me and I found he has yellow string in his blue eyes like a deep ocean.

"Amber.", He again called.

"Amber," I mumbled.

"Baby." He called again.

" Who are you?" I asked, and a frown appeared on his face.

"Baby..." He took my hand, caressing me with his thumb.

"Don't touch me" I said, taking my hand back from him.

"Amber..." He said sternly, and I was stunned.

"Who are you..." I said, unable to hide tears due to his intimidating aura.

"Baby Relax, Just breath", He said softly like he didn't yell at me a few seconds ago.

" You don't remember me," He asked softly, and I shook my head no.

"Anything you remember," He asked, and I again shook my head.

"Amber..." He sighed again trying to touch my hand but seeing me uncomfortable he stopped.

" Who are you," I again asked

"I am your husband," He said smiling, but I was shocked "Husband" but I don't remember him.

"I don't remember" I whispered.

"It's ok, You will," He said, and I was looking at my fingers for rings. He has a ring on his finger, but I didn't have any.

"I do not see a wedding ring", I said, looking at him.

" It's hospital policy you can't wear ornaments," He said, and I nodded, but I still doubt. I might have lost my memory, but I am not an idiot who believes in anyone.

"Why am I in the hospital, What happened to me," I asked looking at him.

"Baby... Let's go home first, and I tell you" He tried to ignore the question.

"Tell me what happened to me," I asked again. I wanted to know what had happened to me that took away my memory.

"You met with an unfortunate accident" He took a deep breath.

"Accident..." I repeated, trying to remember what had happened.

"After you went into a coma," He said, and unintentionally I gasped.

"How long?" I whispered.

"Ba..... Five years" He said and my eyes widen.

"FIVE YEARS!!!" I almost screamed.

"Relax Amber", He said loudly to keep my running mind stopping because everything was blank.

"I am going to complete your discharge process, and after we can leave for our home," He said.

"Home," I whispered and he heard.

" Yes baby, Our home," He said looking at me like he knows I will ask something.

"What is your name," I asked.

"Ivan Petrov" He chuckled.

"Why are you laughing," I asked, getting embarrassed. He was laughing at me because I lost my memory.

"Baby, I do not laugh at you." he sighed and continued," I am laughing at myself remembering our old times" He completed.

"Our old time," I asked.

"Yes, I will tell you at home. Let me complete the procedure, so we can go back home" He said leaving me in the room.

After occasionally the nurse comes back with a bag in her hand.

"What is it," I asked when she placed it on the bed near me.

"Your cloth ma'am, You are getting your discharge," She said, and I nodded.

"Thank you," I said, taking the cloth with me, I went to the washroom. I don't know in the past if I have ever seen a beautiful bathroom. No one can say it's a hospital bathroom. I already know that the room must be expensive, but the bathroom confirms the doubt.

I was thinking to take a long bath standing at the bathroom door when the nurse told me" Your husband is waiting ma'am, please get ready fast"

"Ok," I nodded and get ready fast with a little shower. I didn't even get time to inspect my body if there is any injury.
