Chapter 4 Fate

He never believed that she would give him such a thunderous slap. The person she came over to surprise, little did she know that she would be the one receiving the shock of her life, instead of surprising him, she found her life falling apart in front of her. It hurts her to even wonder if all his feelings towards her all those years where false !? Even though she had seen it with her own eyes. Her heart seems not to believe it. With heavy heart she gathered herself together and step out of his house and out of his life. Her legs moved her to the place where they meet for the first time

The first time she meet him was the day she closed work on time and decided to trek just to pass time. She refused to accept him nor have time for him but because of her friends persuasion, she decided to give him a chance without knowing that, that same friend will be the end of them

All his promises to her, the life they planned to live together. About their wedding, how many people they will invite, how many children they will have, their names. So on and so forth, their future of leaving forever after like in fairy tales were shattered in a day by a friend she trust with all her life. her best friend stab her on her back.

I got home and I can't stop the tears from falling, I don't even know what to do again, with my job or betrayal or even my self because it all seems like letting go is the only option.

When I entered into the living room I met my Mum standing and looking at me like she truly understand what am passing through.

With her hands wide open asking for a hug, I walked into her embrace and break down, why is the word "Fate" so cruel to me !? What have I done to deserve this from people that I cared about. Why Sonia of all people !?

Sweet heart stop crying to avoid waking your Dad. You know about his health issue please don't worsen it for him and I believed that everything works for a purpose. You might cry today but rejoice tomorrow, so hush my baby girl tell them that you are far more better than them , you are the bested among the best, I and your dad truly believe in you, the storm will come but have faith it won't last forever, have faith my baby and believe in your fate" it will be well soon.

With her words of encouragement I decided to put myself together. I don't know what fate have in store for me but I believe to overcome it and cheer myself up, is not easy but I will try as much as I can.

"Mum am hungry please, is there any food for me "!? my words surprise my mum but she immediately cover up

"Why not dear ' you know your mum is the best cook in this whole world" Here she comes again with her bragging

"Of course mum is the best' even bester than six stars hotel " I said and she smiles. That's one thing with my mum, she is not the lazy type and life with her is truly a blessing to me, she knows how to cheer some one up even in there deepest situations, she would always come with her words of encouragement, a life with her is never a dull type and I love her for that.

"Come on honey, I prepared your favorite " She said and I smile, I can't kill myself because of a spoiled milk, but I hope and pray that my tomorrow will be much better than today'" with those words in my mind I left to the kitchen with her to dig into the food she prepare for me

Soon Michael is seen on the highway , going to the address on the file Kando gave to him .

Once the car stop. He steps down and approach the bar

"Good day Sir' what can I offer you ? asked the bar owner who is somehow in her late 40's

After discussing the business with her without exposing who he is. He dropped the sum of fifty million dollars and a flyer for Mrs Carol and promised to pay all once the deal is done, Mrs Carol collected the money with smiles on her face bid him fare well promising to fulfil her own side of the deal. Immediately he left she started dancing and rejoicing
