Chapter 7 A lonely heart

All she did was tell him about Miguel, how Miguel drove her to the park, gave her his contact, all about her park experience and the need to get home to her family. To Daniel, she was just a lady who missed her people and needs to pay them a visit. Definitely, a woman's word hardly reveals her true nature and her heart is an ocean of secrets.

The road to SONG AN was quiet, rather smooth than rough, and for some reasons, Mara and Daniel were beginning to get along just fine as they conversed with each other.

Daniel did not in any way try to know all about her at once, and Mara as well regarded his private life as one that deserves respect and should be treated as such.

They kept talking about the geography of Vietnam city, what they loved about the City and their dislikes as well, until they drove into a little yard that looks like a cottage.

The first thing to welcome them the very minute Daniel quenched the car engine was the voice of a young lady who was seen dashing through the front door, and there she goes, shouting with absolutely annoying demonstrations so capable of awakening the entire neighborhood,

"...and you put the trash in my wardrobe, left without a single notice, how am I supposed to be calm!"

With the manner she spoke, anybody meeting her for the first time will think she's a brawling type; but as Daniel responded with a soft answer, Mara's perception change the moment she replied Daniel again.

"Who is she?"

Mara asked quietly as the Lady walked back into the house.

"Clara, she's my sister and her name is Clara!" He replied in whispers.

"She is damn beautiful!" Mara said with attempts to tease him a little.

"Yeah. What! Anyways thanks for the compliment" he responded astonishingly.

Mara followed from behind as they walked towards the front door and then halted before taking one step further. This however drew his attention to return to her to ask what the matter was,

"Why did you stop? Come on in, your safe here" he said.

Mara who for a moment recalled her family and the reason she started this journey in first place was getting to feel the need to continue her journey and reason not to spend even a minute in this little cottage.

"Ah nothing really" she said so as to make him proceed into the house

"After you miss, after you" Daniel steeped aside as he said, pointing at the door while taking a bow.

Mara felt honored at his attitude and smiling, she walked in as he followed from behind instead.

"You can have a sit at the moment, while I go talk with my little sister" he said, pointing her to a seat at the left side of the sitting room.

"Thank you Daniel" she replied casually.

Mara could her slightly hear the voice of Daniel and that of Clara as they talked with each other from what seem to be an argument to planning and laughter all mixed.

Their conversation only lasted for about ten minutes, after which Daniel came out first to attend to Mara.

"Forgive me, we don't mean to ignore you, just needed to sought out somethings" he said to get Mara's attention

"Nah, no problem with me!" Mara exclaimed fanatically.

"So, may I begin with this one" he said, bringing out a wine bottle and handing her a glass of wine.

"Oh, you may. Thank you" she replied.

Clara showed up the very minute he was pouring the wine into her glass cup and said in a friendly way,

"Hello beautiful, what's your name?" She said. And before Mara could say a word, Daniel interrupted by saying,

"Clara meet Mara, Mara, Clara my sister" and amazingly, they both smiled at each other and turned to Daniel saying the same words

"Stay out of Ladies talk!"

Daniel immediately, raised his hands up with the wine bottle on one hand and his cup on the other, stepping aside to let them be. Mara and Clara talk for an hour and about thirty minutes from that time, before they could finally sleep; whereas, Daniel had already dossed down on a couch in front of them.
