Chapter 4 03: Eighteenth Birthday.

ANIKA'S POV:-

ELEVEN YEARS LATER:-

I opened my eyes as the sun was shining brightly in the sky. I looked at the calendar on the front wall and sat up on the bed. I squealed in happiness as it was finally the day. I hopped off of the bed and went towards the bathroom. I took a quick shower then brushed my teeth. I stepped out of the bathroom and went straight towards the closet. I went through all my closet but did not find the dress I had bought especially for my birthday.

Yes, it was my eighteenth birthday. And I was not excited because of my birthday. I was excited because Adam was coming home after a long time. Last he visited three years ago. After that, he did not come. But a few days before my birthday, I received his letter. And he told me that he would be there on my birthday.

As I was going through all my closet, I heard my evil sister giggling to herself. I returned around and found her leaning with the door frame. I rolled my eyes as I saw her evil face in the morning. "Looking for this?" She said while holding a piece of the dress I had bought for my birthday. Looking at the piece of the dress with wide eyes, I went towards her. She threw it on the floor so she could humiliate me again.

"Did I not tell you? No one gets to wear anything better than me." She said in her usual evil tone. With teary eyes, I looked up at her.

"Why did you do that? You said your dress was better." I asked her while trying hard to control my emotions. But instead of answering me, she went away laughing like an evil bitch she was. I did not have anything else to wear. My old clothes were not in the position to be worn on my birthday. That was the reason why I asked Adam to send me something to wear. But instead, he sent me money and told me to buy something for myself.

I went to bed and sat down. I hugged my knees tightly and started sobbing. As always, she ruined everything and I knew no one would say a word to her. Ever since I saved the life of our Alpha and his crew, the Alpha released the orders to show respect for the person who saved his life. In front of Alpha, my family used to behave but while at home, I was just a slave for my bitchy sister. I kept sobbing for only God knows how long. Until I felt numb and fell asleep.

I opened my eyes as I felt someone's hands on my bear arms. I sat up abruptly on the bed. I sighed in relief as I saw who dared to touch me like that. It was Adam. I did not say anything. He pinched my chin lightly and guided my gaze towards his. "I came back because my little angel wrote to me that she was missing me. I thought she would be wearing a beautiful dress and would be looking all stunning. But here she is, lying naked on the bed, sleeping peacefully. Why do you have puffy eyes?" He said then asked me when he noticed my puffy eyes.

"Skylar tore my new dress. I have nothing to wear." I replied and my tears and betrayed me. He grabbed my hand and pulled me on his lap. I hugged him and rested my head on his shoulder.

" That's it. That is not a big problem. As I have brought you a very stunning dress." He said and I looked at him. He had a wide smirk on his face.

"Where is it? You did not tell me that you are bringing me a dress." I asked him with a pout on my face. He just chuckled and cupped my face.

"Baby girl, I knew your bratty twin will fuck up. That was why I bought you a new dress." He replied and I wiped my tears. I smiled and pecked his cheek.

"I want to see that dress." I said excitedly. I was about to stand up when he grabbed my hips and pulled back on his lap. I frowned and looked at his face.

"You are not getting that dress this easily, baby girl." He whispered as he rubbed the tip of his nose with my bare shoulder. I felt sparks of electricity all over my body when he touched me. I gulped hard as he wrapped his arm around my waist.

"What do I have to do?" I asked him in a nervous tone. He chuckled and grabbed the back of my neck.

"For now, let me enjoy your warmth after all these years. I have missed you a lot." He replied and the only thing that came out of my mouth was a "huh!" sound. He set me back on the bed and made me lie down. He laid on top of me. It felt good to feel his warmth on my body.

"Adam..." I called him.

"Hmmm..." He hummed.

"Please tell me you are not going anywhere from now on. I missed you all these years." I asked him as he hugged me tightly. He chuckled hearing my question and pecked my shoulder.

"No, I will be living here with you from now on." He replied and I looked at his face. He then sat up and went away. I also sat up on the bed. In a minute, he came back to the bedroom with a big box with him. He cut the ribbons of the box and I gasped seeing the most beautiful dress I had ever seen in my life. It was a strapless pink dress. It was puffy and I could see that it would reveal my cleavage.

"Do you like it, baby girl?" He asked me as he found me looking at the dress in awe. I looked at him and smiled. I hugged him tightly and he pecked my left cheek.

"I love it." I replied in a happy tone. He chuckled hearing me so excited. He kissed the top of my head then asked me to change into the dress he had brought me. He left the room and I started getting ready.

SKYLAR'S POV:-

I was excited to know that Uncle Adam was coming back home. I did not know why, but I always wanted him to just look at me. Instead, he always loved Anika. I did not know what was so special about her. She was ugly and hideous while I was stunning and pure. Why could he not look at me as well. He bought her gifts. He fed her with his hands. But he never did anything like that for me. I wanted him to do that to me as well.

I knew well what Anika would do in future. My parents told me that. Especially my dad. He was terrified of her. He told me everything. That was the reason why everyone supported me. My dad said Anika would soon turn into a monster. And she would kill everyone who loves her. That was the reason no one ever loved her. Not even me. Even though I was her twin sister. But I did not love her. I wanted to. But seeing her with uncle Adam, it always burned my heart. I never knew why but it really hurt me.
