He sat in his car as he waited for her to come out of the hotel and the very thought of her being touched by another per rubbed in the worst possible way.
He did not like the fact that she did not acknowledge him at the airport, in fact she dismissed him as though he was not worthy of her time. This line of thoughts was annoying him more as in his mind she was supposed to be his and his only.
There has never been a time when he was more embarrassed as she did, that brought about mixed feeling and it maddening for him the more he thought about. What was worst was the fact he had to call HIM and report what happened embarrassing himself even more.
The car he was in was a metallic silver Toyota corolla, he was parked a little of to the left side to the entrance of the hotel. He spent more than half his life fighting war that were not his own so long the pay was good. He had spent most of that time crossing boarders between central and southern parts of Africa.
For the most part during those wars he never wanted for anything because power was encased into him, his training plus the lives he taken made his way of thinking a little different front normal. He saw what everyone else saw but his way of decoding what he was looking at was anything but normal.
He lived for orders, the more precise the better it was for him. He lived for spoils of war. He was out of that world but that world was still very much in him and it was still very active.
The longer he stayed there the more he got upset, the images that were going through his head of what could possibly be happening in that hotel room was torture for him. That torture was so bad that in his mind he could see them at it. He survived wars only to be taken down by a woman's rejection and he could slowly feel that he was losing his mind slowly.
Almost two hours later he saw the man drive out, he paid a lot of attention to mad as he drove out was beyond livid when he noticed the smirk on his lips. He cursed as he watched the man drive away, he counted down from fifty the he got out of the car and walked towards the hotel. In his mind he was praying to find a female receptionist, five minutes later his prayer was answered and he could not help but smile to his fortune.
He walked into the lobby as though he owned the place and the self confidence he had in himself gave him an aura of authority and power which could be mistaken for money. He ware the best smile he could master and brought the box of chocolate he had brought with him up to his chest for display.
"hey there" he said to the receptionist, he saw her look up and smiled in returned. "hello sir, welcome to Golden Gate Hotel, how are you?" was her response.
"Good, yourself?"
"Good thank you, how can I be service sir?"
"I need a favor, my wife is living here and I have come to surprise her for her birthday. Can yiu please help me her room number?" he flashed her the best smile he could master.
"we are not allowed to do that sir, I am sorry"
'damn it!!!!' thought but he didn't want to give up yet. "I flew in a few ago and I have thought it would be romantic if I surprised her......" then it occurred to that Lindiwe may have had offended her so he offered, "her name Lindiwe" there was a look of recognition that came onto her face then he saw the angry look on her face and knew he was right so said "has there been any men visiting her?"
