Chapter 5 We are getting married

Maureen walked into her room, took of her shoes,and walked to her closet.

she came out putting on a white gown.

she walked to her book shelf picked up the book she was reading in the morning.

Sitting on the bed she folded her legs in a very preferable position.

she's a lover of good stories,at least that's the only thing she knows that can keep her mind of the demons that torment her daily.

she always reads the books with keen interest,and when she could no longer take the torture of falling asleep,she started reading all night.

once again her mind was drifted back to the marriage,just in matters of weeks her life would totally be ruined by the cruel act of fate.

but if she will get married she still doesn't want the public finding out about it.

Leo got back home to find his sisters in his room.

"what are the both of you doing in my room?" he asked smiling.

"Ohhh my gwad he has a smile on his face meaning it was a success"Lilac screamed".

"so what do you think about her,she's pretty right?"Lilac asked without a space of time.

"how is her character is she well mannered?"Lila asked.

Leo only laughed with the way his sisters bombarded him with questions.

"common bro answer our questions please"Lilac said pulling him to sit on the bed.

"what can I say, she's pretty,she's very quiet,like when I mean quite she's very quiet like literally I did all the talking and she only stared else where ,she has the most pretties eyes I have ever seen,but her eyes never met with mine and her face I just can't explain, she's just to pretty"leo said lost in thought.

"ohh my gwad you said pretty twice,and your drooling at the mear mention of her name, she must be really pretty"Lilac said.

"yeah she is! He smiled starring at know in particular.

"Hey leave my room you guys"

"yeah your right we are going lover boy"Lila said pulling Lilac out of the room.

"Bye lover boy"Lilac waved beaming with smiles.

Leo covered his face with his palms in shame,he actually didn't know when he explained those things to his sisters and why he said it that way.

"grin grin"he heard his phone ring,then put his hand in his suit pocket, bringing out the phone.

"yes Aron,what's the matter I told you I was on leave then why are you disturbing me"

"I'm so sorry to disturb you Mr CEO but the CEO of Kinan builders wants the contract signed in the next two weeks and Mr CEO,the..

"just stop it there Aron,why can't you do anything without my help,I will be flying to Korea to sign the contract when I'm done with what I'm doing" Leo said without hesitation.

"but sir......

"do you love your job Aron"Leo asked.

"yes I do sir"Aron answered.

"then do as I say"Leo said smirking.

Maureen sat with her leg folded in each other with her book on her hand.

how she wishes life was like a fairy tale where dream comes true, where magic was real,where people live full of colours.

she always wished to have a happy life,when she was younger, but know after facing life this way she knows life is just a game, where most people fail,and as it is she has already failed.

Mr Daniels has done things to her that kept her drowned in sorrows,which she tries to swim out of but she can never,because each passing day leaves her going more dipper in sorrows.

she always curse her Ill fate for making her that way,all she ever got to experience was suffering.

Maureen was not in pains of physical wounds, but she was pained in emotional and mentally wounds.

emotional and mental wounds that caused her inability to sleep, inability to live fear free, inability to trust, inability to hate, inability to express her emotions, inability to cry, inability to love.

she only experienced love from people she trust but who does she trust.

Maureen picked up her ringing phone from the bed.

"miss it's done"

"you will receive your pay,just contact her"Maureen said.

"yes miss

"father" I just got a call from my Manager and I'll have to leave for Korea soon.

"that's not my problem son, all I want to know is; will you get married to her yes or no"Mr Radriel asked Leo.

leo thought for some seconds,he doesn't even know the answer to that question all he knows is that he can never afford to see his father sad,and he made a promise,and he has never failed to keep his promises.

"will me getting married to her make you happy father"Leo asked.

"yes son it will,it will make me so happy"Mr Radriel answered.

"Then it's a sealed deal Father,I will get married to her, we will be getting married on Saturday"Leo said surprising his father.

"thanks son,thank you so much"Mr Radriel said hugging Leo.

"and according to her she wants it simple,so just family members meaning,I ,you and my sisters only.

"okay no problem son,I will tell Mr Daniels about it"

"okay thanks Dad" Leo said hugging his father.

Maureen could not believe what she just heard ,she would be getting married in two days.

this time around she doesn't know what fate had installed for her,she dose know what game fate wants her to fail once again,she rushed into her room, right now she just need something to comfort her someone to be with her in this hard time,but she has none cause she locked the gate people could use in coming in and threw the keys away ,now she needs one.

at this stage,her anger has become uncontrolable,she picked up a glass cup ,flinged it on the ground,she walked closer to the broken bottles,and picked a piece up,she tightened her grip on the glass,as blood gushed out of her palms,she hates pain but she afflicts pain on herself when she's angry, cause she has been used to it,Mr Daniels always punished her ,so she has always kept her anger in check,but right now her blood boils like the lava in a volcano,she feels so helpless,she feels she should end her life.

"you bitch"she heard.

"it's okay, it's okay,calm down"

"Luna"Maureen called...... weakly

"why does he always do this to me"Maureen asked.

"Luna I miss my mom,I wanna go see her,I wanna stay with her and my sister"Maureen said as tears rolled down her cheeks.

"how can you say such a thing bitch,you wanna leave me ,common bitch thought you passed that"Luna said in tears.

"Luna please just let me go see my mother,I know she's calling me, Maureen said picking up a bigger glass"

"Emily,I never knew you to be this weak,I knew you to be a fighter,what happened to you"Luna said standing up,she walked to where Maureen keeps her drugs,she brought out her injection,and quickly gave her a shot.

"Luna"she called weakly.

"I'm here Emily please just let it out, cry out for

once please,stop holding it in"Luna said crying.

if Luna wasn't there on time, Maureen would have had a major anger attack,this happens as a result of her being onable to control her anger she could kill herself.in the process at that stage only the inject works,because it has higher dose.

Luna is Maureen's best friend from high school,and the only reason she's allowed in the house is because,Mr Daniels also wants to partner with Mayer groups,that's why Mr Daniels let's her in.

Luna has know Maureen from high school she insisted on being here friend after a school project and since then she had watched her friend being harrased, beaten up,she watch her friend slip into mental truma she watched her friend drawn in pains.

Luna wishes that one day,things will become better for her friend.
