Chapter 1 : Brian, you will regret it

In the evening of a chilly cold winter, the north wind is bleak.

The Women and Children's Hospital in the city center is in a mess.

"I want to see Brian Si, he won't let you do this, no..." Florence Li curls up on the bed, pale, holding tightly her belly.

The chief surgeon also encounters such kind of situation for the first time. Looking at Florence in complete defense, he seemed helpless, "Miss Li, I do hope you cooperate. Mr. Si said you can't keep the baby."

"You are lying!"

On hearing that, Li's eyes are bloodshot. Brian's hatred to her is obvious, but the baby is his. She never believes that he would do this,"I must see him! Otherwise, kill me before you lay a finger on my baby!"

"Well..." the surgeon chokes.

While the two parties are deadlocked, the door of the ward was suddenly pushed open from the outside. A tall handsome figure paces in, emitting the air of grimness.

The expression of the surgeon suddenly changes on seeing the person. He says with a trembling voice,"Mr. Si ... ?"

With the words, the air in the ward seems frozen.

Brian's chilly glance goes around in the room, and finally back to Florence. His eyebrows raise with displeasure. He says,"All go out!"

Those doctors and nurses are itching to hear this sentence, and immediately melt away.

In a blink,, only the two of them remain in the ward, Brian and Florence. The smell of the disinfectant in the air makes Brian frown subconsciously.

Florence, whey-faced, looks at Brian's approach. Brian is in a dark windbreaker. The neckline of his shirt is slightly open, revealing his clean-cut collarbone, which makes his face more gorgeous-looking, as voluptuous as an immortal.

Usually, when he approaches her, she will be ecstatic, but now she feels only fear.

"Brian, I know you hate me, but you can rest assured that I will pack my things and leave here right away. I will never appear in my life. So could you please let goof me and my child?"

" Li..." He snorted, with his narrow phoenix-like eyes getting more offish in the pale light of the ward, "I have warned you not to make trouble for me, but you didn't listen."

Florence stares blankly for a short moment and feels lost: "B.......Brian?""

"You are the troublemaker, so you should bear the consequences."

Florence shakes her head and trembles back in horror, until her back hits the icy bed rail and there remains no way to retreat!

"Brian, I was wrong, please let me go..."

With his lips flattened, he clasps her wrists, yanks her up to him, looks into her damp red eyes, and says in a cold voice, "Let you go? Hmm! Did you let Antonia go?"

When she gasps, Brian continues, "When Antonia begged you to let her go, what did you do?"

"I..." she opens her mouth but finds that she doesn't know how to explain. She frowns and murmurs with a trembling voice, "Brian, you have never truly trusted me."

Brian does not answer. It suddenly dawns on Florence that he doesn't detest her but hates her to the core!

"Why?"

He stares at her with his cold eyes, "Li, this child is the retribution against you!"

Not long after, a doctor comes in. Brian looks bleakly down at her face, as pale as transparent, and commands indifferently, "Give her the anesthetic. In an hour, I'd like to hear the news of a successful operation."

"Yes, sir!"

Seeing Brian's figure fade out of the door, Florence even forgets to resist. The moment the doctor stabs the cold needle into her vein, Florence is suddenly gripped by a powerful desire to laugh, then she really does so with tears dripping down.

After a long time, she closes her eyes and says word by word, "Brian Si, you will regret it."
