Chapter 1 : Xu Zijin, Why Do You Remain Alive

Mu Anan drowned herself in the river. Fu Sinian went mad and pulled Xu Zijin out of the house, and then drove to Zhujiang River Bridge at full pelt.

Clouds had come down and it was starting to pour with rain.

Xu Zijin folded her arms over her chest and her voice trembled with cold, "Sinian... Why did you bring me here?"

Fu Sinian pushed her up against the guardrail of the bridge with a cold expression on his handsome face and pinched her chin hard with his slender fingers, his eyes burning with anger and hatred as if he was going to kill her at any time.

"Xu Zijin, are you happy now? What the hell did you say to Anan on the phone? Because of you, Anan jumped off this bridge and now she's dead..."

A sudden flash of lightning streaked across the sky, accompanied by a clap of thunder.

Suffocated by his words, Xu Zijin looked blankly at him with disbelief.

Mu Anan drowned herself in the river?

She shook her head and murmured, "No... It can't be true..."

Fu Sinian glared at Xu Zijin murderously, his eyes reddening in anger. Suddenly, he sneered, "Xu Zijin, even if Anan has died, I will never like you."

"You must have misunderstood me... I didn't..." Xu Zijin stammered. She wanted to explain but couldn't think of exactly the right thing to say.

However, Xu Zijin seemed to Fu Sinian a shameless woman who stubbornly refused to admit her guilt. He mustered all the strength he had to pinch her jaw as if he wanted to crumble it.

Fu Sinian said satirically, "Three years ago you forced Anan to leave me; you forced me to marry you; you even incited some hoodlums to rape Anan. How dared you say that I have misunderstood you! Xu Zijin, Anan is dead. Why do you remain alive?"

The naked hatred in his words was like a knife piercing through her heart. A sharp pang of pain burst out from her chest and she felt weak in her limbs and could hardly stand.

Suddenly, the man reached out and tore at her clothes. The sound of cloth torn echoed in her ears and she finally came back to her senses.

"No..." Xu Zijin grabbed his big hand and looked at him with imploring eyes, her face pale in fear. "Don't do that to me..."

Fu Sinian turned a deaf ear to her words. He tore her panties in two and then leaned against her. She felt his erect penis against her sacred grove.

Xu Zijin turned pale with fear and burst into tears. Overwhelmed with horror and anxiety, she began to struggle. She raised her head and saw the passing cars and pedestrians in the distance, which brought her a sense of panic.

If they were spotted making love in the open by passersby, it would ruin her reputation.

How could Fu Sinian do such a thing to humiliate her?

"Sinian... Please don't do that to me... I beg you... I'm scared..."

Fu Sinian twisted his lips into a cold smile and said, "At that time, Anan was also scared. She kept begging you but you didn't let her go. Now, what right have you to ask me to let you go?"

"I haven't done that to her!" Xu Zijin roared, tears welling up in her eyes and streaming down her face. "Fu Sinian, we are going to be parents. Why can't you trust me?"

The man's pupils dilated. He stared at her in disbelief and asked, "Are you pregnant?"

"Yes. I'm pregnant and it's your child..." Xu Zijin gently took his hand, put it on her belly and cried, "You can touch it..."

They had been married for three years. However, he had always given her the cold shoulder. Xu Zijin had once thought that he wouldn't make love with her and they wouldn't have a child.

But two months ago, they had had sex unexpectedly, which had broken the deadlock between them. Later, she discovered she was pregnant and this unborn child gave her hope.

She stayed at home and waited for him to come back, wondering if he would be as happy as she was when he knew that he was going to be a father. But Xu Zijin didn't expect Mu Anan to commit suicide.

"I admit that I don't like Mu Anan. But now I'm pregnant and I have no intention of hurting her. Sinian, believe me, okay?"

She looked up at him with beseeching eyes. The man, however, forced her shut legs apart with his hands and plunged deep into her with an indifferent look on his face, which brought her into the depths of hopelessness.
