Chapter 4 They became friends

Arun's POV:

In the first lecture, I was sitting in my seat looking towards her and I wish that she would be sitting with me.

"But why does she sit with me. she doesn't even want to befriend me", Thinking that I become sad.

Mom always says that if we say something during the day, then one of the things is true, and this wish came true.

As soon as Sir announced the class, she would come and sit with me, My face blossomed like a fresh flower. I was on cloud nine. I pinched the back of my hand so that I came to know that it was not a dream.

She stood up from her place and sat down with me.

"Hey", I said excitedly.

"Hi", she replied.

But this time she gave a very comfortable reply in her soft voice instead of replying angrily.

"Something happened with you?", I asked with a smirk.

"Why are you feeling like this?", she asked raising one of her eyebrows.

"like this (Aise he)", I replied smiling.

" ok", she replied.

Then we started listening to sir's lecture. It was boring as usual. I wanted to talk to her instead of listening to this boring lecture, but I don't want to disturb her while studying. so I kept my mouth shut and started looking at her while smiling. She was unaware of this as her full concentration is on Sir's boring lecture.

College Time was over and she started going from the class.

"Hey", I stopped her.

"Yes", she replied turning towards me.

"Nothing, just want to say bye", I replied giggling.

"Bye and Thanks", she replied and started going from the class with Tanya.

"Thanks for what?", I whispered while being confused.

"Hey stop, Why did you say thanks?", I screamed but she already left.

"What happened Arun. Why are you screaming?", suddenly bhai come in front of me and asked.

"Nothing Bhai", I replied with a faint smile.

Then I went to take the Car and Bhai was waiting for me standing outside near the college gate.

I came after 20 minutes as there was a great rush in the parking and my car was also stuck in between vehicles standing over there.

After reaching there, I saw that Bhai was saying bye to someone and then Bhai came towards the car, opened the front seat door, and sat down with me. suddenly my gaze falls on bhai's elbow. The bandage was tied to his elbow.

"What happened to your elbow, Bhai, are you okay?"?I asked with concern.

"The first start drive the car. I'll tell you everything on the way", he replied and I started driving.

Bhai told me while saving Tanya from the accident, his elbow got injured.

In the night, I removed the old bandage from bhai's elbow and applied the first ointment, and tied the new bandage so that his injury would not be infected. After that, he went to his bed and slept.

I and Bhai used to sleep in the same room but on a different bed because he was afraid of darkness.

Then I put both my hands behind my head and lay on the bed. Also, I put one leg above the knee of the other leg and started thinking about her word Thanks.

This one word continuously ringing in my mind. Why she said thanks to me and how suddenly her behavior changes towards me. Thinking all this I sleep in a deep slumber.

Author's POV:

The next morning Varun came out after taking a shower and started waking up his lazy brother.

"wake up Arun and go. it's your turn", He just said once that Arun woke up and sat on the bed within the same minute.

"ok Bhai", He replied. Stood up from the bed, picked up his clothes, and went to the bathroom for taking shower.

Varun notices some change in his behavior. He was surprised.

"How did he woke up at his one call. it will never happen before then", he thought.

Then After taking breakfast, they left for college.

"Let's go to playing cricket", Varun said.

"No Bhai. Let's go to class", Arun said. Varun was surprised after hearing this.

"Why? whenever we reached college early, you always drag me to the playground for playing cricket. then what happened now", He asked raising one of his eyebrows.

"Nothing. I have no mood to play cricket today. Let's go to class", Arun replied with a faint smile.

In reality, he knew that Ginni always comes to the class early and started doing the study. That's why he wants to go to class instead of playing so that he could spend some more time with her.

"Ok as your wish", Varun replied and they both went to the class.

Arun's POV:

I was smiling like anything but as soon as I saw she has not come yet, my smile dropped and I sat quietly on my seat by making a sad face.

Then I started playing music with my fingers beating on the bench like a drum. My head is resting on my other hand whose elbow is placed on the bench giving support to that arm.

After 5 minutes, she entered the class with her friend. As soon as I saw her, a heart-rending smile came to my face.

She was coming while giving support to Tanya. she made Tanya sit with Bhai and came and sat down with me.

"How's your friend now?", I asked her smiling.

"She is better than before", Ginni replied softly.

She then opened his bag. Took the book out of it and started reading.

"Oh God, Don't know why these girls keep studying all the time. she doesn't care about me at all. I want to talk to her and she started reading the book.

"But my name is also Arun and now I think I should start bothering her. Then from the first lecture to the last lecture, she has to keep studying. Now the 10 minutes, I can disturb her"I thought to smirk.

"I want to ask you something?", I said.

"Ask", she replied while reading.

"Why did you say thanks to me tomorrow?", I asked turning towards her.

"For that dress", she replied still reading.

"Which dress?", I asked while being confused.

Then she placed her pen in the middle of the page she was reading, Closed that book and started speaking while looking at me, "I know Arun. There was no offer at Uncle's shop that day. You paid for that dress. So thank you very much", she said smiling.

"Ohhh...So you saw me paying the amount on that day", I said while rubbing my hand behind my neck.

"Yes", she replied smiling.

"Why did you do it?", She asked.

"Because I saw you liked that dress very much. But as soon as you saw its price, your smile disappeared and you kept the dress and went away. I didn't like seeing all this. So I did all this to bring the same smile on your face", I replied smiling.

"But you shouldn't have done that. That dress was very expensive", she said in a serious tone.

"There was no cost to that dress in front of your smile", I replied smiling and a big smile came on her face.

"Can I tell you one more thing?", I asked smiling.

"Say", she replied smiling.

"Whatever happens in life. Never let this smile go away from your face and just remember me if it happened. I'll do anything to bring this smile back to your face", I said smiling and she blushed hard.

"So friends?", I asked.

She thought something for a few seconds and then said ok.

"So Hi, My name is Arun", I said smiling while extending my hand towards her for a handshake.

"Hello, My name is Ginni, not Gin-ni", she replied while laughing and shaking her hand.

I also started laughing. She looked gorgeous while laughing. I wanted to see her laughing like that all my life.

Then the bell rang for the first lecture and she again gets lost in her books.
