About

With a Hidden identity of being a Mafia Heiress she didn't remember existed, Kiara Singhania fled to another country – to escape the destruction of her life: a cheating fiancé, a double-crossing best friend, her father nagging her to marry for her own protection – something she didn't understand. Lying about having a boyfriend was the only solution she came up with, and ended up kissing a stranger in the airport to shut her dad up, oblivious that he was the most feared Mafia king of Europe – Tristan Luca Salvatore. Tristan Salvatore, the man that's always trailed by the whispers of death and darkness, found himself instantly obsessed with the random girl that kissed him like she owned him, like she meant it, unaware that she was the ghost from the past, the woman he had been searching for the past thirteen years. As fate would have it, she vanished into thin air after giving up her virginity to him on the flight while Tristan turned crazy, turning the world upside down to find her. And he finally found her after one and half years of hunting, determined not to give up on her. He would do anything to own her to the point where she could feel him in her body, heart and soul even if he was away from her. The only way he knew how to do that, was to kidnap her and demand to give him 20 days to fall for him. She thought he was crazy. He was sure he could do it. He did. Just when she fell head over heels for him, right on the twentieth day like he challenged, he found out that her dad is responsible for his parents' death. Shock. Anger. Betrayal. Rage. Breaking her heart and pushing her away, he became the darkness she feared, and she found out the answers he needed. Not in the way she wanted, her cousin's death was the price. He was the heartbreak she never saw coming, she was the salvation he craved but could never claim. He was a storm that came along with a single kiss, she was a breath of air he could lose with a single exhale. Even the dead rose from their graves to protect their love while the living tried to break them apart. There were secrets buried along with deaths, would they come out as ghosts or stay buried like they were forced to? Would destiny take pity on them and give them the love they've been yearning for, or break them apart with the truths that came out along with the dead ones?

Chapter 1 1. Bianca De Rosa

"Hello to-be- Mrs.Grimaldi" Kiara felt hands snaking up her waist from behind, his warmth enveloping her a warm blanket in the winter night as she stirred the pasta sauce in the pan, a smile forming on her lips at his hold.

"Hello Mr.Grimaldi" She sighed happily, leaning into his arms, simmering the stove as the aroma of cheese filled the air, her stomach grumbling in hunger.

"How're you doing today?" He asked, kissing the back of her neck gently before resting his chin on her shoulder.

"Escaped marriage topic again. When are you going to talk to my dad?" She asked curiously, adding pasta to the sauce as butterflies swarmed in her stomach.

"This week. I promise. No excuses. I am scared to meet him, he's your dad, I don't even know if he'll approve of me" Enzo, her fiance said hesitantly, his arms tightening around her.

"Well, you've wrapped me around your finger like three years ago, I don't think he has a choice at this point" She teased, turning off the stove and turning around in his arms to see his face.

He let her move, pressing his lips against her forehead, a chuckle rumbling in his chest at her words.

"It's the other way around, but I'll take it. Are you going shopping today for the bridal dress?" He asked as Kiara tiptoed and kissed his nose.

His question wiped the smile off her face as she felt a pang of guilt in her chest.

"We don't need to do this if you don't want to, I swear" Enzo promised, ruffling her hair and taking a step back to give her space.

"I do want to get married, without hiding from my dad. But-" She exhaled, unable to finish the sentence without her eyes being filled with tears.

"You know what? Eat the food, go shopping with your cousin, it doesn't have to be bridal, shop for our masters, think clearly. We have all the time in the world, baby" he whispered, pecking her lips.

Her heart warmed, realising how understanding he was becoming day by day. Both of them want to get married with their parents' blessings. While Enzo's parents might take it easy, Kiara's father wouldn't have it at all if he finds out that she's in love with one of the competitor's sons.

Marrying and presenting themselves in front of him was the only plan she had if her dad rejects Enzo this sunday. Knowing him, she's planning to shop for the eloping already.

"You have magic in your hands" He praised her as he served the pasta for both of them as she sat in the dining chair, staring at him with a sweet smile on her face.

"Sweetheart, I am talking to you" Enzo snapped his fingers in front of her, his heart fluttering at the love she holds for him even after three years.

"That magic comes up when I plan to cook for you" she flirted with a cheesy smirk, and he threw his head back laughing before handing her the plate and sat beside her, kissing her temple.

"Cheeky little devil you are. Why aren't you taking Bianca anyway? I thought she'd be the maid of honor?" Enzo questioned, digging into the pasta, his mind filled with questions.

"Because I am going to shop for her dress and I want to give her a surprise. And I might take like 3 to 4 hours, I have a nail appointment, so you can pack your bags until then" Kiara pointed her fork at him.

"Yes ma'am. No laziness. I will pack my bags and find our passports. Where does your dad think you are anyways?" Enzo asked, feeding her the first bite before eating one himself.

"At Bianca's. I told him it's a girl's date" Kiara grinned with a mouthful of food, her heart heavy with guilt.

"Whatever makes you happy, darling. But I hope your dad accepts me" Enzo shrugged his shoulders, his eyes crinkling at the corners seeing her grin.

She's like a kid on christmas whenever he feeds her and his heart fills just by a glance at her face.

"If you don't do the dishes, I am not marrying you" Kiara threatened him playfully as she applied eyeliner to her dark brown eyes with blue hues in them.

"I won't give you a chance to complain" he handed her favourite scrunchie to her as she adjusted her white hoodie and put a blue baseball cap on her head, matching the blue wide legged jeans.

"Counting on you" she kissed his cheek before she ran out of the place while grabbing her car keys on her way reminding herself that she had to pick her cousin in half an hour.

He laughed, closing the door of his apartment behind her before texting Bianca.

One hour later,

Kiara stomped her way on the stairs to her boyfriend's apartment since the elevator was under repair today while panting, cursing her timing under her breath.

"I am so sorry, Kiara. I didn't think I would get my period today" her cousin apologised to her for the third time.

"It's okay" Kiara felt her heart flooding with relief even though she knew she shouldn't be feeling this way.

She was about to buy her bridal dress and maid of honor dress and she felt guilty while thinking of that, and not buying them was a relief to her.

"Is something wrong with me?" She muttered under her breath after hanging up the call, feeling confused, the engagement ring on her finger feeling heavy all of a sudden.

Her cousin cancelled this shopping trip for the third time and everytime that happened, she was filled with relief instead of annoyance.

Questioning all of her life choices, she stood in front of her fiance's apartment, fishing the extra set of keys from her pocket when she noticed the Prada heels right beside the door.

Frowning, she knelt on the ground and inspected the heels closer. Her heart dropped. They were Bianca's.

'B.D.R.' Initials were clear on the insole of the heels.

Bianca De Rosa. Her best friend.

Was she hanging out with Kiara's fiance without informing her?

Standing up abruptly, she unlocked the door as quiet as she could with the keys and pushed the door open.

Her frown deepened when she saw no one in the living room.

'Maybe they were in the balcony' Kiara told herself as she turned around to go to the balcony.

"Enzo" she heard a loud moan coming from the bedroom. She could recognise that voice in a room full of women.

She froze in her place, her heart started beating louder in her chest when she heard the bedpost banging against the wall and immediately slapped her hand on her mouth, controlling herself from crying.
