Chapter 1 Losed bet

Noooo, don't lucian, please, don't kill him," Hazel's voice pierced through the chaos, her plea echoing in the ruins. I stood there, feeling a sense of betrayal creeping in. How could she pick Ian over me? The words hung heavy in the air, a bitter realization.

Hazel's anguished cry cut through the night, a plea for peace in a world consumed by conflict. My heart clenched at the sight of her, I was torn between duty and the love that bound us. Ian, my once-friend turned foe, stood opposite me, his eyes a storm of emotions - rage, sorrow, and a flicker of something deeper.

Flashback

Lucian, Hazel, and Ian ran through the sun-kissed

field, their laughter filling the air like music. As they played, Lucian's voice rang out, full of childhood innocence and sincerity, "Hazel, when I grow up, I'll marry you!" Hazel's laughter danced around them, her eyes sparkling with joy at the playful promise.

Ian's voice trembled with emotion, on the verge of tears, as he whispered, "No, I'll marry you." Hazel, with a heart full of love and understanding, comforted him, saying, "Don't cry. I'll marry both of you." However, Lucian's cruel laughter pierced the moment, mocking Ian as a cry baby.

Ian bursts out, "I'm not a crybaby! I'm going to marry Hazel." His words filled with determination and defiance.

"Sure, let's make a bet," Lucian responds.

....

Lucian turns to face Ian, tears glistening in his eyes. "You won, Ian. You won her heart," he says, his voice filled with a mix of sorrow and acceptance. With a heavy heart, Lucian teleports away, leaving Ian standing there without words

Lucian on a small island miles away, his body trembling with emotion. He collapses to his knees, vomiting blood, and clutching his chest in agony from the overwhelming heartbreak. The physical pain mirroring the deep emotional turmoil he's experiencing.

With a gut-wrenching scream, Lucian lets out a deafening roar that echoes across the island. The sheer intensity of his cry sends a powerful gust of wind, sweeping everything in its path as birds scatter into the sky, startled by the force of his anguish.

In a moment of despair, Lucian's voice trembles as he mutters, "How could she... how could she..." His words choked with sorrow, he begins hitting his head against a rock, blood splattering around him. Overwhelmed by grief, he collapses, unconscious, the weight of his heartbreak too much to bear.

Lucian stirs awake on a bed, sitting up slowly. His eyes fall upon a mysterious figure tossing wood into the fireplace. "Who are you?" he asks, his voice filled with uncertainty. The figure responds coldly, "You're really pathetic." The harsh words cutting through the air.

Lucian's anger flares as he confronts the figure, "What gives you the right to speak to me like that? Don't think you can be rude just because you saved me," he retorts, the frustration evident in his voice.

The figure's response cuts through the air, dripping with disdain, "And what makes you think I saved you? You're not worth my attention, that's if you were just a pathetic human, but you have something I have." The figure's words laced with a chilling indifference, leaving Lucian to ponder the cryptic statement.

Lucian's eyes widen in realization as he hears the figure's revelation, "I'm Lucifer. I see you have been betrayed by your beloved." The weight of Lucifer's words hangs heavy in the air, stirring a mix of emotions within Lucian.

"It's not technically betrayal though. She just picked Ian."

"You know nothing about betrayal" Lucian cuts in.

"I don't get why you're all worked up, but that's not why I'm here."

Lucian's patience wears thin as he waits for Lucifer to unveil his true intentions. The tension between the duo intensifies.

Lucifer's voice resonates with authority as he declares, "It's time to return home, my son.
