"Come on, Jhonatan, walk and kiss your true love.
Rebeka teased the young man as he moved, carefully measuring each step, passing by all the girls who were excited by his approach.
Lorelai was completely distracted from the game, finding herself staring at her brother, who was entangled with Erick, causing great concern to their grandmother. Lorelai could barely return the kiss that Jhonatan gave her while blindfolded.
Lorelai thought it was the sweetest and most beautiful kiss she had ever experienced, her first kiss.
But she knew that Jhonatan's desire was never to kiss her; he was in love with Rebeka, and that wouldn't change with a simple kiss.
However, while blindfolded, Jhonatan approached Lorelai and kissed her.
"Who did I kiss?" Jhonatan asked eagerly.
A young girl with beautiful red curls dared to answer.
"You kissed..."
"It's a secret!" Rebeka interrupted Molly, who looked at her furiously.
"No, it's not a secret! Who said it had to be a secret? Tell me, Lori, who did Jhonatan kiss?"
Lorelai looked at her friend with disappointment.
"Rebeka is right, Moll. It's a secret, I don't know who it was."
Lorelai smiled weakly as she met Rebeka's gaze, who thanked her with a heartfelt "thank you."
"I hate this stupid game!" Molly stormed off angrily, her red hair swaying in her face as she walked away.
Jhonatan looked at Lorelai and Rebeka simultaneously, as they sat side by side. It was like a perfect painting, the most beautiful he had ever seen. It was also the most unsettling. Every time he compared Lorelai and Rebeka, he became confused by the tangle of emotions they stirred within him. Lorelai, with her sad and profound gaze and her gentle demeanor, could win the heart of any man. Her beautiful blonde hair shone, accentuating her sad black eyes with hints of honey, contrasting with her fair and delicate skin.
On the other hand, Rebeka could set him on fire with her sensual black hair cascading over her shoulders. How was it possible for such a young girl to evoke such strong and primal reactions in him? Rebeka hadn't even turned eighteen yet, and yet she could drive any man crazy. The only things that softened her captivating figure and golden skin were her small, intense brown eyes, which conveyed an eerie calmness. Rebeka stirred in Jhonatan a passionate, yet somewhat unsettling, feeling.
Perhaps it would be better not to know who he had kissed after all. But was it true that even with his eyes closed, his heart would guide him to his true love?
And now, who would be his true love?
******************************
For Lorelai, Jhonatan was her destiny, but he never reciprocated her feelings to the same extent. They had always been friends, and perhaps he didn't fully understand his true emotions.
"I didn't want to leave," Jhonatan felt his heart flutter as he heard that delicate voice that melted his heart.
"I know, Lori, but it wasn't your fault, my dear." (My God, I'm a fool. After all, whom do I love? I don't know. Lorelai fills me with immense tenderness, and I just want to hold her in my arms whenever she smiles, cries, speaks, or even breathes, and I want to protect her from the whole world if necessary.)
"When are you coming back to Fetmancity?" Jhonatan was so caught up in his feelings that he had forgotten he needed to return to college. It was his final year, and he needed to focus. However, it would be nearly impossible to find any peace away from Lorelai or concentrate on anything with Rebeka's presence. Both of them elicited opposite and intense emotions within him.
"I'll be back next week, and you? When will you return to Belúvia?"
"Tonight. Grandma said I need to come back soon to avoid some kind of curse. I didn't quite understand, but I thought it would be better not to contradict her."
Jhonatan smiled, realizing how wonderful Lorelai was, patient and kind.
"That's true," he agreed. "How do you put up with her? She always makes you sad and tries to hurt you."
"She's not that bad," Lorelai countered. "I've gotten used to her ways over time."
"You're truly an angel, Lori. That's why I... I..."
Lori felt like the air could escape her at any moment... it was torturous... a torturous silence.
"What is it, Jhony? Tell me!"
Jhonatan felt completely at peace with Lorelai, but he wasn't sure what that feeling was exactly. Moreover, Lorelai had never said she lovedhim, and he didn't want to risk their friendship by confessing his own feelings.
"It's nothing, Lori. Just... never mind."
Lorelai looked at Jhonatan, her heart filled with a mix of hope and disappointment. She wanted him to open up to her, to share his true feelings. But she also knew that sometimes words were not enough, and actions spoke louder.
"Jhonatan, I want you to know that I'll always be here for you, no matter what. You can count on me."
Jhonatan smiled, grateful for Lorelai's unwavering support. He knew she meant those words from the bottom of her heart.
"Thank you, Lori. You have no idea how much that means to me."
As they stood there, looking into each other's eyes, a sense of peace and contentment washed over them. They may not have fully understood their own feelings or known what the future held, but they had each other in that moment, and that was enough.
Sometimes, the path to discovering true love is a winding one, filled with uncertainty and confusion. But as long as they had each other, Jhonatan and Lorelai knew they could navigate whatever challenges lay ahead.
And perhaps, in time, they would find the answers they were searching for and realize that true love had been right in front of them all along.
