Chapter 7 NEW EMOTIONS

ADRIAN

I wanted to go back home to gather my thoughts after what happened earlier. I wanted to clear my mind and see to what I was supposed to do next because each time I stare at Austin, my heart wouldn't stop beating and I was confused. Was it fear? Was it excitement? I had no idea what it was.

Because of this strange feeling, the only thing I wanted was to escape from the bar and return home for the day. I thought I was finally going to be alright when I saw Austin leaving with his friends but my eyes widened when I heard Kun trying to cause problems for him.

For some reason, each hurtful words Kun said to Austin were like daggers to my body and it was cutting me deep. I was annoyed, I wanted to stop him which was why I told him to stop but he was too stubborn and still went on to fight him. I intended to just grab him and drag him away from Austin but I lost it on the way to him and before I knew it, I had thrown a punch to his face ~ I was shocked too.

I looked at my hand and wondered what was happening to me but when I saw the shocked look on others' faces and the surprise but pleasant look on Austin's face, I felt relieved and it was like I had done a good thing. It was like I had done something I should be proud of ... Have I gone crazy?

To gather my thoughts, I walked away from them. I did not want to be asked any questions, I just wanted to be alone... alone with my thought and think it through. I walked over toward the junction where I could get a cab to my house and fortunately, I was able to get one the moment I got there. "Cab!" I called and the driver parked in front of me. I opened the car and told him the address of my house. "I'm leaving now." He said and I nodded.

The drive home was silent but quite noisy in my head as I had many things to think about. This feeling... what I felt at the moment was something I once felt when I was little. Anytime I looked at Austin then, there was this sudden urge to hug him and kiss his lips but I always held myself back because I thought it was crazy. "I'm straight. I like girls. I do girls. I fall for girls." These were the affirmation I said to myself then and before long, I was able to get myself back but why now? Why do I have this feeling again?

Everyone knew me as the playboy who flirt with a lot of ladies and had a lot of female sex partners and never once had I thought of having sex with a guy after I stopped the silly thought back then. Why again? Why did Austin have power over me? "We are here." The cab man said and I was pulled out of my deep thought. I paid him and got out of the car.

I entered the gate and walked straight to our mansion. I entered the house and a smile crept on my face when I saw my mother serving the dining. "Mum," I called and she looked at me. "Oh, my dear! You're home?" She rushed to me and hugged me. "I've been wondering what you are up to that you stayed out so late. Hope you are good?" She questioned and I nodded my head. "Yes, mum. I've been good. I was just busy with something at school." I lied as I knew telling her what happened would make her worried and she might even report to the police which I knew would only make the situation more complicated than it already was.

"Okay, my son. I've served your dinner. You should just go and take a bath and come down to eat dinner." She said to me and I nodded. I kissed her forehead before rushing toward the stairs. "I love you, Mum!" I cheered as I climbed the stairs and went to my room.

I entered my room and closed the door, while talking with my mum, I felt guilty and uncomfortable. I wished I could ask for her advice on what I felt but I was scared if she would support me or not. With a loud grunt, I dropped my bag on the ground and started undressing myself. I threw away all my clothes and walked toward the bathroom where I walked in and had a long nice bath, hoping to clear my thought but It wasn't easy at all. "Adrian!" I heard my mom's voice from my room and that was when I remembered I hadn't taken dinner and she was still waiting for me.

I quickly wrapped a towel around my waist and walked out of the bathroom. "I'm tired, Mum. Can I not eat tonight? I was already sleeping inside the bathroom before you called my name, I feel so exhausted." I lied to her and I saw her expression turned to that of concern. "I will get you some medicines then. Wait for me." She said and left the room.

The night went on so slowly that I felt like tomorrow was never going to come but after so many hours that felt like 1000 years, my alarm finally rang and I jumped up from the bed and rushed toward the bathroom. I had a quick bath and dressed up for school. I had never been so happy to go to school before but the thought of seeing Austin energized me and I couldn't wait to get to school.

Without eating, I rushed out of the house and got to school in no time. "Adrian, You're so early today, man! What's going on?" I saw Knight right in front of the school and he walked toward me but he wasn't the one who caught my attention for behind him was the guy that made me restless since last night... The guy that made me feel different emotions in a night... Austin came early too ~
