Chapter 5 Another Day

The next morning.

After a night of heavy rainfall, the first ray of morning sunshine shone.

It was dawn.

Katherine had a habit of waking up early.

After opening her eyes, Katherine turned around and gazed at the handsome sleeping face of Tristan who was very close to her. She stared at his handsome face for a while before the events from last night suddenly flashed through her mind making her blush. Subconsciously she wrapped the blanket around her tightly and prepared to get off the bed to start another day.

This wasn't the first time Katherine and Tristan had sex. They had sex once before about a month ago. They both were drunk at that time and their lust took over their rationality.

Katherine followed her morning rituals since becoming Tristan's wife. She washed up and went downstairs to prepare breakfast.

Coffee, fried eggs, and a piece of toasted bread and butter were Tristan's favorite breakfast.

By the time breakfast was ready, Tristan was already up and getting ready for work. He was putting on his trousers when Katherine walked into the bedroom. Seeing his unfastened belt around his waist, Katherine thought of what happened last night and blushed.

Turning her head sideways, she said, "Breakfast is ready. Eat it while it's hot".

Saying so Katherine walked into the closet to get ready for work.

With a few elegant moves, Tristan fastened the buttons on his shirt, put on his cuff links, and then his watch.

In the dining room, Katherine and Tristan ate their breakfast in silence, without anything to talk about. Tristan's movement was always refined and elegant as a noble prince and a sight to see even when he was eating. He always eats in silence and speaks only when necessary.

After breakfast, Tristan drove to work with Katherine.

Flynn Group has a lot of subsidiaries and Katherine was in charge of a complete subsidiary that focuses on real estate. She joined Flynn Group right after her graduation and she climbed the ladder and became the director of a subsidiary through her merits and hard work. Even though a lot of people believe she was able to become a director because she was married into the Flynn family.

Soon after she arrived at the company, she started her daily tasks and completed each one of them swiftly. She was an inexperienced worker when she joined the Flynn Group but now with her achievements she has become a powerful manpower of the company.

Even though Katherine and Tristan's marriage was not publicly announced, all the higher-ups at the director level knows about their marriage and treated Katherine with the respect she deserved besides a few exceptional ones.

Just around noon, after finishing up a meeting with a client, Katherine's assistant Sophie came to her office and said, "Mr. Flynn wants to see you in his office, Ms. Morris."

After getting summoned by Tristan, without further delay Katherine headed to the top floor at once.

Tristan's office was spacious with a black and white decor which gives off the same cold and stern vibe he carries. Even the waiting area in his office looked unwelcoming and cold.

Seeing Katherine, Tristan's assistant Eric informed icily, "Ms. Morris, please wait a moment. Mr. Flynn is still in a meeting with Mr. Thatcher and Mr. Adler. He shall be done with his meeting any minute now."

Katherine nodded while glancing at her watch. It was almost noon now and time for lunch. She was slightly hungry. Regardless she walked to the couch in the waiting and sat down.

Eric poured a glass of water for Katherine and handed it over to her.

Thanking him Katherine took the glass of water from Eric and continued to wait for Tristan.
