Leaving the office,Josh walked to his car, reeved the engine and drove off immediately. What he wanted at the moment was to be at a place where there was nobody to disturb him, a place he could stay and think about his life. He would have gone to the spa for a massage and to enjoy a moment of relaxation but he didn't want anyone near him.
Taking the right turn, he drove through a large black gate and pulled up in front of a huge mansion, he had arrived at his house, it was just three miles away from his office. Normally it would have taken up to forty five minutes to get to his house but due to the fact that he was in such a hurry to get home, he drove on a high speed and here he was, thirty minutes after leaving the office.
As he got down from his car, he took his laptop bag, tossed his car key to his gateman for him to park the car well and hurriedly walked up the stairs. As he got inside the house, he saw an envelope placed on top the table in the living room and he went to see what the content was.
"Wow." He said sadly as he took the envelope and read the letter that came with it.
"How much more do I have to live on earth?" He said to himself and sighed.
Sad emotions shot up his body as he read the content of the letter, he had rushed home to stay alone and enjoy some peace and quiet but now what he wanted to do was to go to a noisy place, get drunk and distract himself from the voice yelling in his head. Placing back the letter in the envelope,he slipped it inside his laptop bag and made his way
up to his room.

"Duh, do I have to say it a million times before it sticks to your brain?" Victoria said to Ellen.
"Even a trillion times would not make it stick if I don't want it to." Ellen replied from the other end.
"Ellen please I have work to do. I would appreciate if you leave me to do it."
"No I will not. Vicky, please try and understand that I am trying to help you."
"How does randomly calling me up and telling me about stupid guys help me Ellen? How?"
"All guys are not the same Vicky We still have perfect gentle me out there." Ellen stressed.
Victoria laughed. "Sorry miss but are you from earth? Because I don't think you should be saying this if you are really from our planet earth."
" Well I am ma'am and what makes you think all guys are the same?"
"Uhm,hello have you met me? Oh okay you haven't." She said without waiting to get a reply. "I am Victoria, Victoria Thompson, I have been dumped two times at the altar, yes on my wedding day, two times by guys who claimed they loved me." Victoria said as she chewed her teeth trying her best to keep her heart from dropping and crashing on the ground.
"Vicky." Ellen called with a weak voice.
"Look Ellen, I guess happily ever after is not meant for everyone, look at you, you never wanted to get married talk more of being a mom but here you are living a beautiful life with your perfect boyfriend and soon to be husband. This is life sweetheart, it hits everybody differently and it struck me badly, I had always wanted to live your kind of life but as you can see." She said and shrugged. "Now I am no longer interested in these type of things."
"I pray you find love again." Ellen said and Victoria laughed.
" Forget that darling but don't forget, I will be the godmother to your third child so make sure you make it a girl."
"There won't be any third child, I just want to have two, I am not yet fully convinced on being a mom."
"Huh?, don't make Michael regret choosing you."
"He won't, the two I am having is because of him, I think I can manage two but three, no I can't do that but not to worry, the second one would be a girl and yes ma'am, you will be her godmother."
"Yeah, that's more like it. I think I should leave you now because I can hear some man's voice in the background, I think he is jealous you are spending more time with me than him."
Ellen laughed.
"He wants me now."
"Hmmm, spicy, what are you waiting for then, chop chop, go get him girl." Victoria teased.
"I will talk to you later."
"Okay. Send my love to Lisa. and my dad too."
"I will." Ellen said and ended the call.
As the called ended, Victoria finally released the grip on her heart allowing it to crash to the ground. It was hard trying not to be sad. Although she had sworn an oath of not falling in love, seeing other peoples happy life made her want to have her own. She was grateful that Ellen and Lisa tried their best to make her fall in love again but somehow she was not happy that they were not respecting her decision. A year ago, Ellen went as far as tricking her into going on a blind date with a man that she found to look exactly like Miles. Staying on a date with the guy on that romantic evening made her reminisce all the times she spent with Miles and that made her want to beat the guy up. Tears came wanting to rush down her face, she tried her best to keep them down for some moments and at a point she couldn't help but let it out. Excusing herself from the guy, she ran out of the restaurant without even getting to know the guys name or let him have hers.
She sighed as she remembered what had happened.
"Why do I even care?" She asked herself.
"You have no right to feel sad Victoria, guys are stupid and you don't need them,You do not need them." She said to herself continuously.
