The sun had just set over the small town of Willow Creek, casting a golden glow over the quaint streets. Twelve-year-old Max Jenkins, with his messy brown hair and bright blue eyes, was nowhere to be found. His parents, Emma and Ryan, frantically searched their house, calling out his name.
"Max! Max, where are you?" Emma yelled.
Their neighbors joined the search, scouring the nearby woods and playgrounds. The local police department issued an Amber Alert.
As night fell, the Jenkins' living room filled with worried faces. Emma's best friend, Sarah, tried to comfort her.
